  1. But but we're loading....
  2. You’d hope Viney, Petracca and Oliver would be a fair bit more above AFL average. This is what I was taking about today. We need more from them than possessions, we need more quality, not quantity
  3. Yes I'd love to see it and if it actually means anything. I do know that the in game "pressure rating" is very pivotal for momentum shifts and whether a side is "on" however its very frustrating to not know whether this is the actual rating. When we are "on" our pressure rating is 200+
  4. I just wonder if its in their minds and not fitness..... Last year our 3rd quarters were pretty good. The prelim and GF we blew Cats and Dogs off the park. I wonder if all the effort and no reward (scoreboard) is taking its toll, players throw the towel in a bit. We need to be smarter with our entries, that includes Oliver and Petracca, who should be nailing passes inside 50. Seeing them bomb long will affect the second tiers. Its obvious the game plan is kick it in quick and try and hold it there, however this only works if the forwards pressure is relentless, ie; repeat entries and shots. We can minimise our efficiency by being smarter and efficient and thats on the coaches from here. We are running out of time.
  5. Did anyone else see the stat on the screen the other night that in 2022, we are 17th for pressure? Whether it meant pressure acts, around the ball or in the forward line I'm not sure. But is damn right lazy and we wont win a thing unless that improves, especially in the F50.
  6. This is exactly the problem. By locking it in there, it sets up up the defence upfield, thats our gameplan. Forwards need a rocket. Oh and I never want to see Ben Brown in the last line of defence ever again.
  7. All I'll say is we shouldve put them away in the first half but a long shot. Very poor. Some experienced MIA when it counted, you guys know who they are. P1ssed off
  8. I'm tipping it'll be a slogfest
  9. Very true mate. I think his best footy is behind the ball but every now and then he goes forward and has a blinder. Still dont think we get enough goals out of him though, or our mids in general.
  10. It could be, Gawn used to drop back and help out, but am noticing hes dropped off a lot in this role and I'm unsure why?
  11. Any side can play good footy...
  12. Last time we played them we were in a "form" slump. No May, Lever hobbling and Petty off the ground when they got a run-on. Business end of the season, those three playing and we are turning the corner. Collingwood supporters are up and about however they have had an easy run home and only just beaten sides on the bottom. Port by 6pts at home Ess by 4 Crows by 5 North by 7 Suns by 5 Giants at home by 11 That tells me they are super overrated and hanging by a thread. Dees win.
  13. Correct me if wrong, but we had no May playing, Lever hobbling and Petty off the ground when they had that run-on? Wont be happening again. In fact, most of our losses and teams going on a run resulted from the above happening in games where our talls were off.
  14. We really are in trouble in the KPF ranks, critical now. Some smart drafting or trading necessary. Brown cooked Weideman just isnt showing enough after 7yrs? M Brown is a fill in Jackson seems gone. TMAC injury prone JVR - who knows
  15. Unbelievable. MFCSS says Port win then we lose 🤣
  16. Port look rattled.
  17. Come on Port - they are looking "on" early.
  18. Haha I'm sure there is more. I'd just like to see team defence, 1percenters and mate-ship on field, taking the game on, run-run-run, switching play across half back, lowering the eyes and getting some forward connection, building each week. some of those things have definitely dropped off, whether coaching or confidence, but now is the time to shine. I'm nervous, but I have faith.
  19. Business end of the season now, if we are serious and want to defend the title, we need to start ramping up and building form and momentum. If we lose tonight, I dont think the boys are hungry enough. Form from here is a non-negotiable. Have Geelong peaked too early, I hope so.
  20. Oliver out, Sparrow to midfield, Hunt in to cover Sparrows role. Out: Oliver In: Hunt
  21. We also had a much later start to preseason......
  22. Sean Darcy (Jackson)
  23. If Jackson goes home, I'd be pushing for Sean Darcy as part of that deal. Looks good forward and played as one as a junior apparently.
  24. We need to nail that kick in, switch and spread. I haven't seen much switching around HB lately either, maybe a confidence thing. IIRC, our form changed last year when we switched, spread and took the game on around HB. Langdon is the play-maker in this scenario, among others. What worked last year certainly isn't working this year, its up to the coaches to find a way now but its got to stop, same thing - kick it to Max every bloody time.
