  1. The team from 1995-2000 never lacked good players, it just was shot with injuries a lot of the time. Anytime we got our key players on the field we were successful, but it happened only so often. That 98 team was great, it went after it every week.
  2. Why not - lets do it. And my comment on Neeld is simply a play on his great quote from Round 1.
  3. Well Casey do have Jurrah, Watts, Cook and Green in the forward line - most of us would have expected that to be the Dees forward line by now
  4. And what is worse is that we have not changed our attacking style all season – an it took only Brisbane 10 minutes to work it out on round 1. This is perhaps the biggest blight on Neeld – we have gone from being one of the most attacking teams to being impotent. I want to see Neeld succeed but he must alter the attacking angle of the game plan soon.
  5. The fact we are talking about another rebuild I am sorry is unacceptable - sorry Mark Neeld ‘I am not coping that’. To take our club back to step 1 again is also unacceptable. We were a good attacking team last year and poor defending team. Now we are poor all around. Maybe instead of recounting how wrong we were over the past 3 seasons, Neeld could actually watch some tapes of our 90+ point wins and incorporate some of that play back. It could help him win back some of the players and as importantly, some of the fans.
  6. Spud with 2 premierships. More than anyone at the MFC can claim
  7. Whoever is obsessed with drafting outisde playing stick figures is certainly part of the problem.
  8. I said a few weeks ago I was not sure what was worse, losing or the basic, predictable game style. So many times last night we had the opportunity to go down the corridor but instead we dedicated to bomb it high in the air and to the boundary line. You need a strong defence to be successful – no question, but you need a far more fluent offence that what we are shiwing as well. Get back to taking risks Dees, at least it gives people more incentive to get to games.
  9. He almost will be a dissapointment given some of the pumping up he gets on this site. Seriously I am not interested in any players until they hit 20, that is when you know what you really have.
  10. Yes but that is up to them, sometimes you only get one chance - tough - make of it what you will.
  11. Simple - do not ever put yourself in a position to be dropped - pretty obvious requirement. Ricky and Bennell are 2 on the list who seem to do little when the cards are not falling their way. If they address that, they should have no problems, if they do not address that, then what is the point of bringing them back yet again?
  12. Time for Ricky and Bennell to justify the faith. No more chances after this
  13. A little off topic but I cannot wait for the day we are actually competitive and do not need to focus on events such as these. 5 years of great draft picks have brought us little so I am not losing sleep over one less high pick this year.
  14. Would suspect Moloney is on the way out given the new focus at the club and at 29, is the club going into a bidding war on Jamar?
  15. Cheap act and he will be punished. Lets move on now people and focus on winning a game
  16. Wow - lets try and set the record - whatever that it.
  17. I agree we still need them but I believe one of them will go to another level and still be a key part of the team in 2 years.
  18. That is just how I see it. There is a lot of learning going on right now. I am hoping for a big second half of the year
  19. We are playing the Hawks who smash us in contested possession so no strong body players get dropped for mine. Not sure how having both Davey and Bennell in the same side helps us against the Hawks.
  20. We have been a basket case for a long time. Although we might have the money, what other incentive is there for big name players? Hopefully that changes
  21. Dunn made a contribution by quieting Murphy and ensuring Addison did not lay into Davey too much. I have no idea how much of a contribution it was, but it was a contribution all the same (not sure if it was worthy of played well).
  22. We need the draft, we just need to use it better.
  23. I am fascinated that people are insinuating we were a basket case. Now certainly there were games last year that we were horrible (one in particular comes to mind), but we won 2 games by over 100 last year and another by over 90. We were never a basket case and I will not buy into that rubbish. The only positive that I can possibly think of is that Neeld is now building some rapport with his players as opposed to shooting them in public (see round 1 presser).
