I started counting clean possession chains after the first quarter. I.e. clean kicks to a team mate or handpasses to a team mate in clear space (not standing still 1m away). The longest possession chain I saw was 4 clean kicks and one clean handpass in a 5 possession chain which led to a goal. I didn't see anything else close for the day.

Honestly believe we've got the talent but the problem we've got seems to be leadership and coaching. It's just total confusion. But we don't have the $ to pay out Goody and to contract a good new coach. The AFL won't bail us out again.

That farce in our forward line early summed so much up. A certain goal stuffed up about three times before it was cleared by Geelong. Oliver got possession, running towards goal and turned and ran away from goals and lost it. He continually sends the ball backwards rather than forwards when clearing. He also walked off Guthrie at one stage and let him grab a second possession and set up a goal.

I've taken to counting the number of consecutive effective disposals in a row we can do. (<2m Handballs don't count) Best I saw in first quarter were two consecutive kicks to a team mate. Try it, it distracts you from the horror of it all and watching this club destroy talented youngsters careers over and over again.
