  1. I wonder if Rawlings pushed for Fritsch forward. I hope he gets a good couple of games in the forward line to prove himself. He's a natural up there I reckon
  2. I hear he had a promising pre-season and is looking ripe for debut in the JLT series in 2020
  3. Geez I hope we can hang on to him. Great to have Jade back in a senior role. It wouldn't hurt the club to throw good money at him to keep him in as a 2IC to Goody. He's not a bad plan b if Goody can't turn things around by mid 2020.
  4. Years ago I saw a keynote by Lawrie Lawrence. His talk was all about preparation (and practice practice practice). He told an amazing story about the 2000 Olympics. The one athlete with more weight on their shoulders than any other was Cathy Freeman. She was expected to bring home the gold in athletics for Australia. The pressure on her was immense. Lawrie said that the reason she did this so successfully and that the pressure didn't crush her (I.e. don't think about it) was preparation. She practiced and practiced her whole routine so often that by the time she walked into that stadium, she was on auto pilot. You must be prepared at an elite level. So you gotta wonder why we are taking this so casually. If this is match day simulation, then they should be putting blokes on the mark and simulating the whole thing over and over until it's just a routine on match day. And.. coaches are there to correct and coach along the way. We seem to be more Krygious than Freeman
  5. The Matildas. They go harder and have mad skillz
  6. We don't need a map? I'll have a look at it cheers. Sweet country by Thorton was pretty cool too
  7. I'd highly recommend reading Bruce Pascoe's Dark Emu. Should be read in every school. The more Australians learn about this wonderful culture and appreciate what they've had to endure since colonolisation, the less booing and [censored] there'd be.
  8. Nice to see consistency rules for the MRO and Geelong. Hawkins gets off with an elbow to the head. The tradition lives on https://coupler.foxsports.com.au/api/v1/article/amp/afl/afl-2019-four-players-fined-for-striking-including-geelong-star-tom-hawkins/news-story/dd9ece8132d8236fd49c48e080124f1a
  9. But the umps aren't professional. So AFL is really semi-pro
  10. We did lower our eyes in the first half and then generally went back to bombing. It does my head in. Brayshaw had three good clearances from the centre bounce in the second half and just booted it forward without even looking. They all came straight back out. He's such a classy player usually. What's happened to him?
  11. Jkh was pushed both hands square in the back by Jenkins. That's why he lost his feet.
  12. Hopefully it's under Casey now
  13. Yes. [censored] scared.
  14. I'm no bloody expert but mental strength for athletes comes a lot from practice and preparation. You practice over and over and over again until there is nothing to worry about or fear. As many have posted this year they are supposed to be professional athletes. Fmd
  15. They'd miss
  16. Pushed straight in the back
  17. So chopping of arms is ok again?
  18. Dominating this game and we're 2 goals in front. Hope we click back into 2018 mode again in the last
  19. And that's why I reckon they should put Jones forward more often
  20. Rough as guts but he's competing hard
  21. They come from ancient times.... 2018
  22. 8 marks inside inside 50. Who are these guys? They seem to be looking before they kick.......
  23. Here we go. Foots off the gas now.
