I'm feeling excited and confident about this game for no logical reason whatsoever
  2. It's like a Trump double negative!
  3. I was right behind the line of play for that 50m penalty. Melksham ran 15m wide of the mark and lost his man by playing it safe and staying so far away from the mark. They still pinged him and he blew his stack. Gobsmacking by the umps and a goal to st Kilda at a critical stage. They need to pay these guys as proper professionals and drop them out to the country games when they fup. Why can't the media scutinise umpires form like they do players?
  4. Me too. These are the sorts of games we seem to win each year. I.e. One game when the odds are truly stacked against us. Think West Coast last year. This is it. I reckon we'll win this week and then drop the following two games in true MFC style. Go Dees
  5. Typical MFC game ahead. We'll win against the odds this weekend (I'm chucking some money on now). Then we'll get beaten by Adelaide who we thrashed and then the Sun's. MFC curse running strong
  6. Yeah. Not sold on his work rate and second efforts. Our forward line sucks not just on the way it comes in but also how easily it comes back out.
  7. He's the only one. Chunk is not a super star but his disposal and kicking into the 50 is pretty bloody good. Week in week out he's a solid contributor that never goes missing.
  8. I did during the week. I think we're a 50 50 proposition. $6 against MFC is insane
  9. I agree. They've rolled the dice with Garlett
  10. Yes. I reckon it's about a 30 percent chance that a good Melbourne team will turn up. Am I being too optimistic? Should all of Demonland.... form a syndicate. Bet big on Freo Buy the MFC as a busted arse franchise Coach the team via the forum The assistant coaches could hold up a big tablet with the match day thread at the quarter breaks for the players to read and adjust their game accordingly. This is the future!
  11. Exactly. Who cares if we cop a $5k fine. All publicity is good publicity and having a coach or ceo speaking up for our players, club and supporters would be brilliant. When did this last happen at Melbourne?
  12. I watched clarry walk off the field at the end of the game. He stopped two or three times and seemed to be dry reaching and in serious discomfort. A couple of his team mates stopped and helped him to come off the field. 50m penalties for players running within 15m of the mark. Free to gut punch all day. This club needs to grow some balls and come outto protect their players and hold the poor umpires to account.

I thought it was heartbreaking. He had to ruck, rove, defend and work as a forward. He dis everything and almost carried us over the line. I really felt sorry for him on Sunday having to bust his guts while others went missing. Go Maxy
  14. Came all the way from Northern nsw for this game. It will be a long time before I bother attending again. TMAC was crook and shouldn't have played. I watched Weed jog to contests when the Saints were rebounding. How does a young bloke being given an opportunity to prove himself behave this way? Hogan did the same. I think it's time to trade him while he still has currency. There's no second efforts by either of them. Petty was completely stuffed by half time. Down 4 key position players for the game. No wonder we lost. Umpiring was ridiculous and we should grow some balls and call it out. Casey has won 7 in a row. Is it time for Rawlings to take the Reins? Btw. I've never jumped on this forum to demand trades for players and to sack coaches but geez we were starting develop a strong team and it's now quickly collapsing to a pre Roos era again.
  15. Thanks to those on demonland who helped on their advice with avoiding frostbite at the G. Perfect day at the G here with my partner and my mum. Cheers Brownie
  16. Saints are paying $6. Just sayin

From what I've read Drunkn he's been really consistent in the 2s

It was interesting to hear Roos talk about us before the port game last week. He said one big area for concern was that our forward structure has not settled properly yet. The bombing wouldn't have helped. I think Dermott is commenting on the symptoms and Roos knows the cause. Hope it gets sorted quickly.

I think Hogan would look good with blonde tints in his hair too ?
  20. My partner and I are coming down this weekend for the Saints game. My Mum who is 75 is travelling in from East Gippsland on the day to join us at the G. I haven't been to the footy with her since Jeff Farmer single handedly destroyed the pies on Queens Birthday. Good times...so long ago........ I've been an interstate / armchair member for years and years, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to get some sort of decent upgrade / seats where I can keep Mum pretty comfortable and out of the breeze and the cold. I don't think she'll see too many more live games, so it would be great if I could line up a good spot for her and maybe she'll bring some luck for another win! Garlett for nine in a half??? Any help and guidance would be appreciated. Cheers, Brownie

Our forward line was so congested maybe Hogan thought his odds were better waiting for it to drop? He had a crap game and I hope he comes good. Our midfield was rubbish for two weeks. We fixed that and Port worked us out by staying back and rebounding. Should be our first priority now to counteract Ports tactics. I'm sure the saints will be out to replicate it this weekend.

Check the lengthy Brayshaw concussion thread from ways back Timbo. There's been a few medicos who have posted that the helmet makes no difference to the impact on the brain. It's more a confidence thing and I believe Gus also promised his mum and he'd wear one. We're screwed if Nev doesn't pull up. *source demonland 2017-18. 23. Yep it was fair. Very solid hip and shoulder caught Tom square in the chest as a shepherd. We are in some strife if Jetta and Tom don't pull up.
