  1. I was at the game and behind the goals. I was a little horrified at the height advantage we gave their forewards. But Jetta just plays so far above his height. Just brilliant. as was the mids that stopped it coming in.
  2. I agree. hard running is the foundation both forward and back. Roos said that we needed hard running players early in the year. there were a lot who didn't run hard to cover their opponents on Saturday.
  3. I reckon we've done alright with 12 players on the field
  4. Viney just willed himself up another notch in that last quarter. just brilliant
  5. Good to see Spencer back out there. At least he's got the best ruckman in the game to learn from.
  6. got on him at $80 last night on sportsbet. worth throwing a tenner at. as mentioned above, biggest risk is him hurting someone and getting suspended
  7. There were a few times in the second half where Bugg seemed a bit lazy. he'd shoot off a handpass and let a Collingwood player run past him with no shepherd allowing pressure to be put on his team mate. he had a solid effort but just a few things made me think he's the one to step out for Bernie next week.
  8. it was a really bad mistake and unlike Watts. However I thought it was one of the first times I've really seen him fearless. he threw himself headlong into that pack to take the mark. Geez it's taken a while but he's really stepping up now.

  10. I never like to blame the umps but.... 6 goals from free kicks 2 of those from 50s Harme's mark not paid in front of goal in the last qtr. front on contact on Stretch (I believe) in front of goal in the dying seconds not paid. Where is the review and accountability on umpires when they perform like this?
  11. I just signed up here to say you hit the nail on the head. i thought Roos was the right guy to build their belief and to teach them to be ruthless but it still doesn't seem to be working. it wasn't a selection problem on Saturday. we had the talent on the field to demolish a second tier team and we just fell apart again. Roos has talked about the fragility in the past but it's still here in spades. what do we do now?
