  1. Well its going to be interesting to watch how a couple of the new inclusions go. Also keen to witness how the 2 ruckmen experiment works. If both on they will be hard to man up. My reservation with Max up fwrd is his lack of goal accuracy so Im hoping its the hybrid. I do think we will win this. The boys have been sufficiently berated. Hoping for a long time for Weid to kick a bag. Please let it be tonight.
  2. Does anyone else question anb being in the team?
  3. Thought Id post this hear rather than the Hannan goal footage thread. Of that footage 3 out of 4 of the names in Salem, Tmac, Melksham and Hannan are not a shadow of their form today. Even Salem has gone backwards. What happened in such a short period that we have gone from prelim to this?
  4. Great to have some awesome father son memories like these.
  5. Basically we need to be ruthless and cut quite a few from the list almost to the point of rebuilding. At this stage we seem to be going in circles.
  6. Should be a lock for sure. Has been very good. Baffling that poor performers are gifted games but this bloke is left out.
  7. Absolute rock in the backline. Thanks To the culb and to him. Zero % without him.
  8. Should go well today. Boys are well rested since the saints game.
  9. Melksham must have some dirt on someone.
  10. This is what worries me about the future of this club. I wonder how many of our supporters are baby boomers. We followed the club of our dads. Our lack of success is not bringing in many new followers.
  11. If they do, they havent followed this club for long.
  12. Agreed. Did they forget dads day?
  13. Oh that old necessity of Dees supporters pulling out the old math books and going over the permutations and combinations of other team results to ascertain any finals action.
  14. That reminds me of Dame Edna interviewing meatloaf. He was addressed as Mr loaf?
  15. I get where you are coming from. Most supporters overate the players level of skill. Its part of the fun and passion of footy. The troubling aspect of the swannies game was the so much of the time there was footage of players not chasing. Also too many tackles were shrugged off. This isnt about level of skill. Anyone can run and tackle. Did it look like we gave it everything we had so as to secure a spot in the finals of the worlds greatest game? Did not look like it to me.
  16. We certainly dont seem to learn very quickly or grow from our previous errors. With the exception of a few and we all know who they are, most of these blokes turn up for a paycheque and thats it. Dont worry about us supporters who cobble enough for a membership. Oh well I guess thats on us.
  17. This seems very accurate with Weid and Trac being 2 that come to mind. We can't be alone though. Jackson seems an exception thank goodness.
  18. I dont use facebook but public naming and shaming players on such a major social platform is not good. But I suppose its kniw different to what mpi st of us (guilty as charged) have done here on demonland. There are a few posters much more levelled headed than myself thay do refrain from dissing players. Perhaps players should not come to demonland but its harder for them to avoid fb. Its not easy for supporters of this club not to get frustrated and hence call out non performers. I havent any answers but I having vented I feel better. Much like naming players after that horrible swans loss. I could say Ill try not to do it but I know I probably still will.
  19. Tx Trac for all your passion and hard work. Congrats.
  20. Agree with all these players but would add Weid. Its sad its such a small number.
  21. I would suggest rocking up to this northern city a couple hours before the siren reflects poor prep. Agreed on flakey skills. Our tackles didnt stick, players didnt chase, poor positioning and shocking instinctive hospital airtime handballs when we had a breeze behind us. The swans flooding our frwd zone when we had the wind didnt help.
  22. Especially when your down to only 2 disposals for the whole game. At the very least you can lay a few heavy tackles to get involved.
