  1. Betting tip If we lose ....put the house on freo tmrw?
  2. Well happy birthday to me. Boys better deliver for me. Go dees.
  3. This time without my sarcasm, I do believe that 2021 will be better. If we can pick up another decent full forward and an expeeinced crumbrr then things should fall into place. Weid still needs to improve substantially but my hope is is increased due to the pergormace of our backline. Our mids seem to be functioning much better. Trac has finally gone to another level. The great revruiting of Jackson, Langdon and Rivers should really pay off. 3 more quality players and things should really start happening. Like Covid, we have stemmed the worst and we as Goody would say: Moving in the right direction. We will win tmrw but as others have mentioned it will be too late. We must be strong and take a sharp axe to the list. Players like Trac, May, Max, Langdon, Oliver Hibberd, Salem and Lever deserve as much support they can get.
  4. I think Ive seen this film before. Saints to lose. Dees to win. But not enough to give us the % we need. Therefore Saints to win. Dees to lose. Intermission. 2021 Havent I seen this one?
  5. Much more suited to a forward role. Goes hard at the ball and knows where the goals are.
  6. I agreed with your comment when I read it. Now I am trying to reconcile how 2 seasons ago we were 1 win away from a Gf. Yes we got thumped in the pf but we were well above this uear and especially last years standard. If we are really only a 8 or 9 spot team how did we finish 2 two years ago? This is a genuine question. It really is pretty much the same team as 2018 so I think its reasonabke to assume they are better than our present ladder situation.
  7. A fine and another golden glove award for the wonderful mummy.
  8. Frittas kicking has gone out the window but has been fairly solid otherwise. If we can do a deal we we can reduce some of his (tmac)cost we should take it. Best for player (he has served the club with honors most of the time) and the club. Im pretty sure the poor blokes injured in some way. In his present form it seems he wpuld have trouble getting a game. Not a great way for such a past very good player to finish his time at the club.
  9. In...a reliable forward that can kick 4 or 5. Someone. Anyone.
  10. You make a solid case uranus.? I will say out of all the fringe players we Jhunt would be the likely one to keep. Great speed. Has also showed a lot of courage of late. Good goal sense to boot.
  11. One of those players who are good but not premiership team good enough. Hes not alone. On this basis I would lean to offloading him. Not an easy choice but clubs hungry for a flag make these decisions. As mentioned he is not alone and I believe he is towards the bottom of the delist list so to speak. But with a flag in mind then yep its time to be tough provided that the many above him are moved on as well.
  12. 10 goal thumping would be awesome. Weid would have to play his best game ever.
  13. This is our only option. Even if saints lose we wont make enough % beating the dons. Firstly games are shorter but more to the point, who in the team is going to kick a bag? Once again either poor prep or mental weakness let us lose to a team with only 3 wins for the season. Not just once when finals were up for grabs for us but we did it again in the match after that. You could think....alright then the team had a bad night out...it happens. But to then serve up another bowl of steaming 4r6p the next game...well.. Its almost preferable we lose to Essendon so we can say: Oh well we are just not that good. Because if we beat the dons it shows we are a good side that just didnt bother to show up to bottom teams twice in a row. Hmmmmmm.
  14. As an afterthought on the clubs newcomers.. Despite the dissappointment of performances this year (and last) we have a lot of great talent that can really make an impact in the future.
  15. Spargo came back this year and his first 2 games were excellent. He then played some pretty average footy but against dockers he was much better. I was surprised that kick had the journey. Has been inconsistent but its exciting that he can play some very good footy. Maybe its just a matter of him getting more games and confidence. May has proved why the club was so keen to get him. Has the title of team's best player. Rivers is a gem. Looks like after a year or so, he will be fighting May for that title. Throw in Langdon and Jackson and the club must be praised for some very savvy choices. Hopefully this will continue and the club is also hard enough to make some tough choices and remove about 8 to 10 players at season's end.
  16. Hawthorn never cease to find a way to muck us up. Even when they are not playing them. It felt so good when the game was already decided to jump ship and support the dogs.
  17. Was great to see Pickett improve last night as well. Throw in Lockhart and Langdon and the club has done very well with these new additions. Rivers is showing seasoned 100 game plus players how you play.
  18. Didnt think Hawthorn would lose. My money is on the saints to lose and we beat the dons by enough to see us miss finals by about.01 of a percent. Nothing different.
  19. Nice article on Rivers in the tWa https://thewest.com.au/sport/afl/wa-young-gun-trent-rivers-kicks-winning-goal-for-melbourne-earns-praise-from-teammates-coach-ng-b881665234z
  20. He was much animated last night. Moved down to the boundary line in the last quarter. Embracing players and pointing ...talking louder into the headpiece. Pressure on him starting to bite.
  21. Just realised how big Weids opponent was in Lachlan Keeffe at 204 cm.
  22. There were a couple of high tackkes on us in our frwd line that were blatantly ignored only for the giants to get a few for lesser high tackles on them. Dont get me started on the kicking in danger.
  23. Watching the replay you notice things players do behind the scences. I know I have praised Langdon before but he is such a hard worker. Great addition to the club. So is Rivers. This one is better than the other one we had. Where is Rivers best played?
