GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs GWS
Just looked at our goal kicking list for 2018. Its pretty damn good with tmac and hogan kicking around 40 each. Melk...and Hannan chip in with quite a few( much more than this years average) Garlett was handy as was anb believe it or not Fritta and Trac on par. Our forwards just havent been able to kick many this year.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs GWS
Keeps looking like he will break out but still not certain if he will be a star. Most premier sides have a coleman eligible player. Maybe it will be him or maybe Jackson. The latter has shown better form earlier. Perhaps we should just lure one (although theres not many about). I have no idea why, but I think we will win tonight. Full disclosure: I said that the last 2 games.

NON MFC: Round 17
Should not teams have the choice if they want adavantage. Why does the umpire assume in cases where a player may not know the free was paid?

You have to hand it to Richmond they are hard at the ball. We could do well having our palyers watch these games so they can learn.

Not a fan of either these feline sides but must say they are both so much more sjilled than us. Starting to think that the tigers have a few arrogant players not that geelong dont.

Tom McDonald
Agreed. Its not like he hasnt been given chance after chance in several different roles. Uncanny how he was one of the best defenders going around and then magically moved forward where he became Coleman medal like as well as filling ruck duties. Yet here we are with him on the outer and most of us talking about trade. Tough gig this afl business. Hell probably go somewhere and recapture his old form. ? He costs a lot having him on the books.

Not that I can remember. Preuss out is good. Spargo proved he can play but hes not consistent. Welcome back Jetta. Melksham is the new Omac. He could run over everyones dog and still get a game?

Their welcome to have him. Hope he plays some more footy. Probably best as a defender. Just not at Mfc.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Fremantle
I noticed that most of havent been too hard on the umpiring of the dockers game. This is probably due to shock and anger. We feel (rightly )that we would lose any finals regardless. Nonetheless under good umpiring we would have won that game. In wet windy condtions in a low scoring game dodgy free kick differentials have a big impact. I base this on my half baked, double bourban , bald brained theory that 2.567 free kicks are worth 7.543 points. This takes into account the reciprical number of where they were paid added to the number they simply dont multiplied by 1 factorial of 50m penalties. All that aside I really do think the umpiring was atrocious. Sometimes it seems that these blokes just go through a period in their thick heads where they will just penalize a side come what may. That first quarter and half of the 2nd seemed like one such time. Yea yea, all supporters feel jibbed but in this case there were a heap of clangers made by these professionals and the level of consistency was woeful. And yea its the last refuge of the disgruntled supporter but in watching other non Dee's games this year I feel that many of these umps suffer from adhd. Booooooooooo.

Our Best 22
This is pretty good. I would certainly argue that Melksham should be traded and if we have to keep avb he should play at chf. It looks like a very strong team.

Our Best 22
One of the few positives for the year. Very exciting young prospect. Also think Rivers is one to watch as well. The club did well in getting these blokes as well as getting the 24 olds Langdons and Lockhart. Not much love for Pickett of late but he is young. Seems to have incredible pace and hes not afraid to put his body on the line. I think he will become a very good player. Tomlison seems to play better when defending. I wish we had seen more of Marty Hore this year. So there are some very good newcomers mixed in with the perennial fillers. I dont mean to sound harsh but blokes like Anb and omac that never really shine and play good games consistently are examples of those. Actually I think there are quite a few and the club could probably unload almost a dozen. Tmac is interesting because unlike blokes like wagner he was a genuine great player. Alas that was 2 years ago so the jury is pretty much in on him. If we can manage to pick up another 5 very good players we will do well. I do think we need to buy some already proven ones especially a full forward and maybe a crumber type. Up forward I believe we should replace Hannan and Melksham but keep Fritta. Lever needs to get back to the form he had at adelaide which is why he was picked.
