  1. Top post. Will play some of those now. Cheers.
  2. Thanks Dazzle. I've always been a big fan. Always hard at it. Great decision maker and works exceptionally hard. Provides a good physical presence and despite age and size is reasonable quick.Totally locked down a few classy players including dusty. Came in late this season and immediately had a big impact. Yes dropped off a little towards the end of season but hugely instrumental in setting up our early domination and I'm wrapped he's been rewarded with an extension.
  3. Well done all you Non Dee Perthites for a projected full stadium and more so if they support us. Great to have a crowd and a reasonably big one at that.
  4. My wife has outdone herself. Footy franks Sausage rolls Kfc. All the comfort food I need. I just wish there was some left. I wonder how the players the are? Its always fun to watch them line up and sing the anthem . The nerves probably stay with them for most of the first as they run the nervous energy out of their system. But until then we usually see quite a few clangers and poor diposals. Will be harder on the younger players. On the otherhand after being locked up for two weeks they are probably keen to just be out and about. I so hope we get a great jump on them and keep a 30 point plus lead over them all day. The bus is on its way .
  5. Its raining in Wollongong. Its not relevant and Im sure nobody cares but I have to keep my mind occupied.
  6. Like you woke up crying and screaming every twenty mins.😀
  7. Id say there's about another 70k others along with you. Ah the joy of footy😀
  8. I really do believe our forward line is stronger than the dogs. I know our backline is stronger than theirs. Since Viney has returned to pretty much his best and Max in the prelim played like Kozzie, our midfield has certainly caught up to the dogs touted one. Tmac first goal. Bbb the most with SEVEN. Changed my mind.... JV to win the Nsm. We've got this by around SEVEN goals. And an obscure prediction Dees to get seven more free kicks. I'm so excited... I'm cracking open the liquid amber....the suds...nectar of the Gods....the cause and solution to all of life's problems...VB.
  9. Only from the class of a superior type of supporter. All you get from your port supporter would be the empty cans thrown downstairs.
  10. You have overs fifty years of hopes and dreams upon your shoulders. You are a greatly gifted group of players. You and thousands of others deserve this flag. GO AND TAKE WHAT BELONGS TO YOU.
  11. Have heard the crowd will be pro Demons. I hope so. Perhaps some Perth Dlanders have a clue? Too early to tell but what would be the reason for this speculation. Tix sold?
  12. You have to accept that the dogs finishing outside the top four......travelling to Tassie......then Brisbane and then Adelaide and winning is a pretty good effort. But having them then travel to Perth and winning number four would be highly unlikely. I don't think I could handle a close game. All purists of the game would argue of course that's the basis of a good gf to watch. Not for Mfc supporters. Maybe a close one in 2024.
  13. Ive got Bbb for the most goals....like a bag of five or six. Since all of our fwds have been pretty consistent in hitting the scoreboard, if Tmac steps up and scores the most then we have this in the bag. Norm s.....Oliver. Margin 41.
  14. Would love to see Tmac get first goal. He is a confidence player and that would really help.
  15. That will do the trick. Enjoy the game Et if your at the ground. Great time to live in Perth.
  16. To be honest....its still just too hard to get my mind around this. I suppose that's some sort of answer.........it means a lot on many levels. Its something Ive waited so long for so it makes it incredibly satisfying just by that. It may sound silly but it means all my years of support....beer.....cash...time have not been wasted. Maybe wasted isn't the right word because Ive still had lots of entertainment and joy amidst the heartache. But I think that's it.....it soothes the heartache and is the best win ever had. Like the enjoyment of round 23s comeback multiplied by a couple of thousand😁😁😁😁 Plus the gloating rights over mates that send sarcastic messages every year. A sense of justice for a club that has been threatened with mergers and derided in the media. Watching players I love enjoy the win. Knowing others will be as joyous as me. The pleasure of watching replays. The hope of back to back. The satisfaction my kids will follow a winning team. But above all a feeling of achievement even if all i ever did was yell...give money and watch. Who can really understand and explain the basic tribal element of the best game in the world and the suffering of the delay. Only us. The fact its hard to explain how important a win is in some strange way the question answers itself.
  17. Thanks very much for telling me about this. I just watched some of it that Jaded reposted on dland. Brian Wilson gave one from a hospital bed.😪 Tx again HB well worth watching. Enjoy the evening my friend. In btw watching free to air channel seven and posting here it has kept me from using all my days beer provision. I wish it was an arvo 2.30 game melb time match.
  18. As exciting as today is, Im sure there are lots of us missing those dads who put us on to this mob. A footy bond of just something to talk about even if a lot of the times laughing at our misfortune. And like me at the age of just losing them and never sharing the joy of seeing a flag won. I for one will have a framed photo of my dad sitting next to me tonight and hear him bagging the maggots {in white} ...father like son. And taking back at all the times I said why did you make me barrick for this team.
  19. I would like to see the insufficient intent rule arbitrated more accurately. The umpires have made a meal of this rule all year. I know I'm bias but I watched the replay of our last dogs game and while most of the 25 frees to the dogs were fair except two maybes it was the lack of calls we didn't seem to get leaving us with only 11. The five blatant misses probably wouldn't have got us across the line but it may have come down to a kick. The port dogs final I thought was a game of some very soft frees to the dogs which helped the dogs score goals. I just hope the umps don't get too involved tonight that's all unless Max gets unfairly treated. I think there will be a lot of rough stuff tonight but we are certainly not a bruise free team.
  20. Yea....Ive been wondering what one could really say that would make a difference. Apart from the obvious about how hard you all have worked all year. Im wondering if the drought will be mentioned and what the win will mean to those in lockdown. But I know the boys are pretty gun ho anyway and have been shut up for two weeks waiting to get on with it. I also know this is a very close knit group of players and mates that wont let each other down. If I were Goody I would let Max talk if ID Probably just say.... YOU MEN CAN WIN THIS. YOU DESERVE THIS. JUST PLAY YOUR BEST AND LEAVE NOTHING LEFT. THIS IS OUR TIME. THIS IS YOUR TIME. THIS IS THE CLUBS TIME. THIS IS OUR TIME. I would be genuinely keen to know what does get said.
