As exciting as today is, Im sure there are lots of us missing those dads who put us on to this mob. A footy bond of just something to talk about even if a lot of the times laughing at our misfortune. And like me at the age of just losing them and never sharing the joy of seeing a flag won. I for one will have a framed photo of my dad sitting next to me tonight and hear him bagging the maggots {in white} ...father like son. And taking back at all the times I said why did you make me barrick for this team.

I would like to see the insufficient intent rule arbitrated more accurately. The umpires have made a meal of this rule all year. I know I'm bias but I watched the replay of our last dogs game and while most of the 25 frees to the dogs were fair except two maybes it was the lack of calls we didn't seem to get leaving us with only 11. The five blatant misses probably wouldn't have got us across the line but it may have come down to a kick. The port dogs final I thought was a game of some very soft frees to the dogs which helped the dogs score goals. I just hope the umps don't get too involved tonight that's all unless Max gets unfairly treated. I think there will be a lot of rough stuff tonight but we are certainly not a bruise free team.

Yea....Ive been wondering what one could really say that would make a difference. Apart from the obvious about how hard you all have worked all year. Im wondering if the drought will be mentioned and what the win will mean to those in lockdown. But I know the boys are pretty gun ho anyway and have been shut up for two weeks waiting to get on with it. I also know this is a very close knit group of players and mates that wont let each other down. If I were Goody I would let Max talk if ID Probably just say.... YOU MEN CAN WIN THIS. Jeff farmer reminds me of Toby g but just a nicer person. Not a fan of Tg but when i see him win games off his boot it reminds me of the Wiz....although JF was a better player. Win or lose it was always worth tbe price of a tix to see Farmer doing what he could. Would be great to have his son play for us.

Have the same feeling. His marking is so strong and while always a lead up fwd he has done pretty well in packs lately getting the ball to ground. This is not an indictment on Sam w but since bbb has settled in clubs have found it much harder to take intercept marks against us and our fwds have been locking the ball inside our fifty much more. With crumbers in Kozxie, Nibbler, Spargo and even Fritta to a degree our fwd line is as good as its been since 2018 if not better. If Tmac plays his best it will be very interesting.Notwithstanding Max now as accurate as ever and recently kicking five...he may spend more time there I have noticed Bbb coming down the ground marking like Tmac used to. Would love to see Tom do this. Some early touches will give him some confidence.

Who do the dogs see as our most dangerous fwd? Fritta.....hes our highest scorer. Kozzie...the wow factor. Bbb.....a previous star of the comp and building nicely. Tmac...has been quiet but capable of smashing it. Max...kicked a record five. Jackson..a quiet achiever. Spargo...lively crumber. The prelim demonstrated how settled and potent we now are up fwd which took a while to sort out. Im tipping Bbb to have a big day and maybe Trac to hit the goals several times.

They were reasonably close but port are not as good a team as cats. The real indicator was the dogs only just beating lions. Got a fair ride from the umps. But that aside justice is afoot with the years two best teams facing off. I think with the way Max and Jv are playing it is our midfield that will dominate.

Travis and Shane were not too shabby but our backline certainly got exposed. It certainly says a lot for the Dons team

Its off topic but Id like to point out the flak we got after 2018 season. We were pointed out for going from a prelim to the bottom tier the next year. Well the grand finalists of that year.....look at them now compared to us.

The forward line in our team was sensational.
