  1. Is it worth trialling Tommo as a fwd at Casey. The defenders Tmac and Petty have done alright forward. I'm just thinking if a tall defender like Tmac needs games off then Petty goes back. If Bbbs is injured we are back with Schache. It would be nice to know if he can at least do it and not unrealistic about Tmac and Bbb. ( I so hope they will be ok). I think the Port game was the best game in two years for the two of them.
  2. I'm just wondering if I'm right in saying that Nibbler used to be a poor kick at goal. He's certainly turned it around. Can we move him into the midfield instead of Salo or would that curtail his greatness at the moment? Salo has been ok but Nibbler is just so much stronger and I reckon has more endurance for the job. In any case I'm so glad to see him playing so well. There are a couple of others who have recaptured their form of old. Not least is Langers. The Rock wall in Lever is another as are of course Tmac and Bbb.
  3. Thanks Demon Dynasty for posting this. I quite enjoy them. I'm actually more worried about this game than the last one. I guess because Crows are so desperate for a win. And although the umpires were half decent last round, I can't see it happening twice. I'm also worried about the five day break given we played it hot conditions and have not a few injuries. If we come back from SA with eight points I won't whinge about Gather round. Unless we lose over there next year. Hoping to get over there one year. Despite the Port fans, SA is a beautiful state.
  4. You lost me on the pineapple. What is wrong with you people?
  5. I rather have my foot amputated.
  6. I'm surprised Your not the foodie of my choice Bbo. Trying to impress your Cardiologist per chance? I'm deeply disappointed. You once rightly scolded be for drinking Chardonnay so.... The only vegetables to go near a burger are tomatoes, onions, bacon, cheese and maybe a pickle or two for the soft hearted and then some more bacon. I hope that settles things. Beetroot .Sheesh. Next thing you know, you'll probably be trying to sneak in some lettuce. I might allow an egg if I'm feeling a little saucy . Oh and that too but only tomato. Rack off overseas with your mustards and French Mayos. This is Oz. Here endeth the lesson.
  7. Another interesting podcast gents for armchair players like me. I feel like I'm learning quite a bit about the game. Thanks for explaining expected score. Do they have computer programs to work out all those permutations? The metric pressure points....is that simply the tally of all pressure acts of a player throughout the game? And finally great idea to call anything that brushes the relevant post a behind or goal to eliminate so many reviews. Let common sense prevail. On a lighter side they could make it like cricket and give each team a number of reviews 😃 ps you guys sounded like you were all still stoked by the win.
  8. Yep and for [censored] in a bun. The only half decent items are the thick shakes and sausage mcmuffins. ( The later the perfect Hangover cure).
  9. But feel free to Rubbish Port fans as much as possible
  10. The five day break at this time of the year with an early start to the season really irks me. Besides all our injuries, we have played in a lot of hot weather including the one against Port. This game will be a tough one.
  11. Yep Billings had a poor one but he will not be dropped. I'm sure of it.
  12. If we did decide to go the path of including Fullerton, who would make way for him? I think they will probably stick with Jvr rucking. His tap work isn't the rest but he's ok at ground level follow up.
  13. I was worried for a while after Chin had drop in form last year but he is having a bumper season. He and Nibbler , Kozzy are a dangerous trio up forward.
  14. It's probably become a significant rivalry between Port and us. The funny thing is we are not aware of it.
  15. We can move him on with decent compo after our flag this year.
  16. What a great pic and post. So true. Those crowd shots sent shivers down my spine. Not a great advert for Gather round. Poor man probably had to cheer the team on internally.
  17. Watched a part of the replay again. My hat is off to all those who went to this game. Seriously, those Port fans are feral and it's a committed supporter who braves that. I think @WalkingCivilWar mentioned someone talking about being in the trenches. I can genuinely see why. To use an old Soprano line..." Did someone leave a cage open at turtleback zoo?"
  18. Looks like someone walked in off the street to photo bomb.
  19. We seemed to run faster and more in the last q. I wonder if our matches mostly in hot conditions helped us.
  20. Hell start clunking them soon. One thing is that I've seen him up against two taller opponents and his ability to leap at least stops an easy opposition mark.
  21. It's probably what got us out of playing Kardinia for the fiftieth year in a row.
  22. Ditto. To bear fair to me I clicked on it after 12.
  23. I'm still backing Jvr to keep improving.
  24. It's because we are the biggest threat in the Afl to other teams. We are a force others are scared of.
