Its a funny game.....Dons smashed by hawks who we gave a run for their money. Yet Dons beat us. You just know it will be their only bloody win for the year as well. Note to self.....Get over it.

I would like to see Max and spencer play in the same game at least once

We all love big Max and he has played some pearlers this year. In all of our losses bar one (Norf) Max has done little outside of his rucking. ie marks, possies and goals. In all of our wins Max has been awesome with his contested marking and work up forward. Seems to be no middle ground. Clearly we depend on him a great deal. Do we need to play 2 fulltime rucks so Max can tae more marks and kick more goals?

The dogs are playing bloody well though

Interesting side note re this game- last time dogs played an SA team the free kick count was 27 for them and 11 against(adelaide} The pressure must have got to the umps as it was the about the reverse today

I know and he was bad the week before. My reservations were he has some credits in the bank but mainly because Qb is one of our bigger games and Garlett stries me as the ind of person who thrives in the limelight. I hope Kent steps up as he needs to as well.

Garlett has been our third highest goal scorer though. Not sure about his ommission.

Neale Daniher on tv tonight. Channel 7 I think. Most likely to raise awareness about The big freeze coming up QB round. This guy is courage personified and if you want to be inspired its worth watching. Hope he will inspire the team to get up again like last year

I was impressed with our game today. It was a hell of a lot better than last week Two things stood out for me: 1.Our backline struggling which isnt news 2. Our lack of frwd pressure. Unlike the hawks we didnt trap the ball in our frwd line. Watts was good for 3 qrtrs but like Hogan did not lay one effective tackle Aside from Garlett taking another holiday we can hold our heads up imo

Well all things consdiered this game was almost lost at qurt time so good effort in the end against 3 prmship team and some iffy if not dodgy umpiring.

I think some teams are smarter IN milking head high frees

Im not saying the umps cost us today as technically the high tackes in 3rd qrt were there but hawks certainly ducked a lot and it changed the momentum when we were winning.
