Port obviously don't want to go there either. Should have put money on this game.
-
Agree. There is no sane reason that Richmond with half their team on holiday are within one kick at 3 quarter time.
-
Hogan in great touch too.
-
Has Tommo been omitted and if so isn't it a bit late to be trying Turner?
-
What are the odds Port playing to avoid the Gabba?

The sleep of the dead by the looks of it.

Agreed but I also think it's a hard line for the coach. We want to go into finals with another win but the swans will certainly come on hard. It's hard to have a winning mindset while resting players as well. Maybe it's just an experiment to tweak our final forward line. But I'd still love to see us beat this mob for stealing our birth in last year's Granny.
-
It's bloody ridiculous that we don't know what's going on this late in the year. If there wasn't a bye next week, I'd go even further and forfeit this round. The Afl should not be making up when teams play finals this late. The fixture should and must be fixed for finals next year, now.
-
Hope so. Maybe we have a half of two talls forward.

Can cause insanity.

Way too much info there dl4e.

Will be great to see Carlton beaten today

This is the x factor for me. How it will be difficult to cover both Fritta and Milk. Maybe even Smith. Yes we won't be tall but we will be super mobile. Also keen to see if Tmac gets a run.
-
Not sure how we approach this game Clearly we want to go into finals with another scalp but the final quarter may require players to be protected somewhat. The interest factor for me is how Fritta and the other forwards go today.
-
Can't we simply have a finals fixture already determined a year in advance? With Thursday and Sunday the elimination finals. This way there can be no hint of bias or interference from the Afl. Surely the minor premier gets the best time slot as well.
-
As mentioned above as much and as I don't like Cwood, it's the team that finishes on top of the table that should get the Friday slot .
-
I think of a Thursday final is on the cards it should not be allocated to the team with the minor premiership. And just on this, these things should not be made up on the fly.

He may have been a chance but his last three weeks haven't been his usual top stuff and alas I think has missed out.

Champion Data Predicts the Premiership

I don't get the excitement about Lions winning a flag. Their going to be hard to beat on their home finals sure but last time I checked, the granny will be played at the mighty Mcg where it belongs. Lions have the biggest voodoo there and it will certainly come into play -
Feel a little sorry for Grundy. I also think Max and Goody do as well. He was probably lured with the promise of playing equal time. I imagine though they were quite open about his role in playing forward. Just one of those things that sounded good but didn't pan out . I also thought all the talk of not being able to make him a fwd was negative but it seems to be true.

What are they saying at Moore Park

There are still a lot of Swans fans in Melbourne. My family has had a long relationship with the club. Maybe the Sydney supporters aren't that dedicated but the ones in Melbourne still going after their team was relocated are probably the most dedicated and passionate around . You are spot on about the media coverage. It's almost as of the Swans, who get larger crowds than most Nrl games, don't exist. -
Kinda of called....have you got your passport ready?
