Yeah he will be a gun and I feel it wasnt so much a lack of intent more he just panicked tried to tackle because he thought Varcoe was gonna get out, went too early and missed. But are people really geting into him over that? He hasnt stared but hasnt been bad by any means
-
I like it too, very nice touch as with the back. Simple designs that get the point across.

All in good fun, much easier after a win

Hahaha funny guys

3 Dees in the Round 4 AFL Team of the Week
ArtificialWisdom replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
And Brayshaw (who is more or less ambidextrous) and Bernie (will always love that left foot bomb of a goal against geelong last year). I like that we have a few of them now -
I hope BenKen got into him when they got home

COLLINGWOOD VFL v CASEY SCORPIONS
ArtificialWisdom replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah you might be right, always showed some but never got to what we wanted him to be. -
Yeah you're right but he played 85% for the first time and with alot of time resting (i know its not a huge rest but not as hard as in the midfield) forward, give him time he will get there. A few more weeks all around 80-90% and he will get his chance. He is a class above already so he will get call up as soon as he is ready.

COLLINGWOOD VFL v CASEY SCORPIONS

It worries me a little that they arn't giving him the opportunity. If he continues to be a ball magnet and doesnt get a call up other clubs will come knocking. -
COLLINGWOOD VFL v CASEY SCORPIONS

He was pretty hard at it too. I was impressed but i dont think he is gonna get in the team any time soon. Likely spend some more time as the emergency. -
That was a bit of a facepalm moment but im just happy that we have a result that allows us to laugh about it. I agree the is going to be pushed out eventually but right now he does deserve some praise. I thought he was a list clogger but now i think he is the perfect depth man. He is doing it right now, comes in while we wait for other players to come back and is just playing his role. This is the sort of player good teams have running around in the VFL

Im still not convinced on Frost as a forward.. but he is a supreme athlete and his effort is fantastic... Given his mobility and his aerobic capacity i had a similar thought. Could they give him the chance to be our Mark Blicavs type midfielder? His pressure would be fantastic in the middle and he is big and strong.

-
Yeah watched the replay last night and instantly remembered, im not really sure how i forgot, it happened right infront of us. We were surprised he got up face hit the dirt and looked out of it for a bit, tough little bugger and thats why we love him.
-
I understand your point but if say it was 5m out it would be within goal umpite's jurisdiction.. so how far out does it have to be when it is no longer? Im just happier to have them take a minute to double check and we get the right decision. Yeah its annoying at the time but it clearly hit Dom's fingers so if they had paid a goal and not reviewed I wouldn't be happy. The only problem i have is that they dont have cameras on every goal post in the country. But honestly this is the least of the AFL's problems atm.

Cheers fellas, Good news then, nothing major.

Yeah i just saw this too, does anyone know when it happened? must have been late, i could swear i saw him a few times in the 4th
-
I think he got himself involved for patches in the last Q which is fantastic but not so much "full of running". He struggled a little to get involved in every contest like he did last week and in round 1. He is a gun and will get there and will be an important cog next year but cant rely on a 4 game player yet. But i wouldnt rest him yet either if it wasnt for bernie coming in but I dont know who else to take out.

When does Petracca get unleashed?
ArtificialWisdom replied to The Sailing Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Maybe I'm too conservative with him but i wouldnt play him till round 8 against the doggies or even 9 against brissy. His stats were fantastic again but looked pretty far off it fitness wise on the weekend. And besides we are struggling to find people to drop this week with 2 best 22 players coming in. Not like we need to rush him in to repace poor players. -
Do i remember them editing the pressers in post so we could hear questions a few years back? Im not sure why they stoped doing it.
-
Out: Oliver - looked tired but really no other reason, even tired he got himself involved in a few nice passages just the man coming up that costs him In: Vince If Jeffy gets up One of the following for him Brayshaw - Still looked a little underdone but played far better than rd 2 Hunt - As unlucky as you get, showed a bit for his first game and i like his run, but like oliver has to make way of a member of the best 22 M Jones - Super unlucky again but is a like for like. As with oliver and hunt has no choice but to make way for a 22 player Side notes: -I think Frost and Bugg just both performed well enough to secure spots for next week but Bugg will be on thin ice if his form drops again the midfield is hotting up for spots and his form has been average before sunday -CP5. Loved what i saw of him at the casey game looks a class above down there but looked very tired after every little burst. Played most of the second half in the forward line (not sure he was happy about that seemed more interested in being in the midfield group at 3qtr time) He will get there but i think he is still 2 or 3 weeks off being fit enough for AFL just saw this and although i think that would be really harsh, you could be right. Hard decisions this week
-
Now I only watched the last qtr but dare I say the Saints were robbed?? 2 uncalled 15m marks in a row and then that one that hawthorn took the advantage and were given it back!
-
I'm pretty sure they were past us last year. Not by much but their ageing stars help them. We don't have that.

ArtificialWisdom replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
That would be good for us, Moore's leap concerns me, similar to Joe a couple of weeks ago.... -

I heard it too. From what i can tell he has been carrying the calf problem at least the last 2 weeks. I hope he plays.
