  1. Not so much pounced on it - more like a ripping 25 metre left-hand Whelan handball!
  2. Jurrah didn't even win mark of the week when he won MOTY.
  3. I'm just saying that that's pretty much what I heard from Moloney at the B and F 12 months ago.
  4. I don't understand why you'd love for Clark to speak. Much of what you just wrote is Moloney to a tee 12 months ago.
  5. Will he talk about not deviating off any lines? And that if someones does, they can go to Carlton, or wherever?
  6. Breaking News: Carlton re-appoint Denis Pagan.
  7. Very sad news. Best wishes go out to all who knew him, especially close friends and family. Terrible.
  8. I'll preface this by saying that I don't want to get into a slinging match about NM and to recognise that Kangaroos do well to make finals (and I obviously am not talking about their 90's finals record). I also don't want this to be responded to with a "I wish we had the same problem rah rah" - this is not about the MFC, this is a post about North Melbourne: North Melbourne's finals record this millennium is diabolical (if not worse). Let's have a look: 2000 125 point loss to Essendon 10 point win over Hawthorn 50 point loss to Melbourne 2002 38 point loss to Melbourne 2005 87 point loss to Port Adelaide 2007 106 point loss to Geelong 33 point win over Hawthorn 87 point loss to Port Adelaide 2008 35 point loss to Sydney 2012 96 point loss to West Coast Total: Played 10, Won 2, Lost 8 Average Winning Margin: 21.5 Average Losing Margin: 78 Amazing how the "Shinboner" tag only pops up in the media after a win...
  9. Would not be surprised if Maxwell got off... WC/Magpies also played a classic at the G earlier this year. Can see it being a good game.
  10. Scores level... No, now Geelong up by a point at the 24 minute mark of the last. Byrnes looks as he always has - speedy with decent disposal.
  11. Why would he? From what I saw, that's exactly how Mitch has always played (when playing well).
  12. Xavier Ellis has spent much of the last few years ostensibly on the outer. Seen as a pretty soft player, he plays a medium, bit-part role for the Hawks (the best team in the land). He's come in recently and, on Friday night, collected 17 touches and kick a goal. My point is that you're saying we have only two players who can play a role in September. You go even further to say that one of our best players couldn't play a role in September (despite the fact that he's a much better defender than many others running out during the finals). Teams win finals, not individuals (though, of course, some individuals help more than others). We may over rate our players, but you are over-rating every finals player to the point of ridiculousness with your last few posts.
  13. Ha. Ludicrous. What were your views on Xavier Ellis a couple of months ago?
  14. Frawley is a much, much better player than Shoenmakers (for a start).
  15. Ha. Of all of the players to question over their ability to play in September, you choose Frawley. Staggering.
  16. You're thinking of the Brisbane game a few weeks later. Up by a point, 37 minute mark of the last quarter. Ball trapped in the BL forward line - spilt out to Aussie who motored away, took a few bounces, and hand balled to Green. The siren sounded, Green banged home the "goal" and ran to the crowd to celebrate. Fun moment. Mediocre in the greater scheme (geez this club has sucked the fun out of it!)
