  1. I enjoy the questions, Deevoted. A nice touch, indeed.
  2. I don't see how that says he was a past board member - or even why his ongoing defence of the previous board is a sign that he is. If someone comes on and supports the current board, I don't assume they're on it. A clear axe to grind, regardless, IMO. I also highly doubt adc is a former board member.
  3. I'd also like to know, from RobbieF, where he admitted this. WYL, your post didn't make the claim but probably needed a question mark - it did look like you claimed it above.
  4. You should probably take some of your own advice and check facts - start by checking the date of the article.
  5. He needs a bit of extra recovery time after carrying the midfield all season.
  6. Article on the MFC website. Nicho and TMac indeed tying. Magner, Trengove and then Bail - "as expected."
  7. Jordan Mcmahon misses that goal and we're not having this discussion. With it coming down to such an incredibly fine line, it's astonishing we're talking about it 3 years later. There is 100% an agenda at play here.
  8. "One version of events is that Connolly, in illustrating the importance of winning less than five games so as to gain Scully with a No. 1 draft pick, spoke of ''the cavalry'' riding over a hill and coming to get those coaches and football officials who allowed Melbourne to win too many games and therefore miss the priority pick. Another version claimed Connolly surveyed the room of some 15 men - coach Bailey, his assistants, recruiters and other football staff - and told them that the consequences of missing the priority pick would be that they would all lose their jobs." I'm sorry - but these two paragraphs are utterly hilarious. Especially the first one. She's got to be kidding around, surely. Cavalry comin' over the hill to get y'all! Dontchu dare win too may games boi. Ridiculous. Her real motivation seems to appear in the penultimate paragraph. And the best she has is some Sydney players and Richmond players unquoted opinions - gee whiz.
  9. They wore it against Port Adelaide, St Kilda and Richmond this year - at least.
  10. Wouldn't have minded two Nietzs running around in the early 00's - one at each end!
  11. Brad Green was so disillusioned with football after 2009 that he had a near All-Australian, B and F season in 2010 and was subsequently made captain.
  12. Funny how Wilson decided to use this story to fill pages rather than discussing Aaron Edwards' escapades.
  13. 3 home games against Victorian clubs at our home ground. If the league (or media) have a go at us for turnout/revenue, they can jump. In terms of footballing, however, it's a great draw. Could get off to a very good start and we play a lot of trash a few times. I am, nevertheless, sick of saying this the day the fixture is released and looking back 11 months later in misery. This will be different though. As the Melbourne motto goes; "There's always next year!"
  14. It was certainly poorly handled. Bailey was really in a no-win position from the get-go and his dismissal wasn't handled as well as it should have been.
  15. I guarantee you that we get a hard draw that only nets 4 wins.
  16. I don't see how WC are in need of outside run.
  17. "He was the subject of plenty of discussons" Curious about this line. How many discussion could they have had about Tippett? Surely, "Should we get Tippett?" is about the extent of it. If Goddard is worth pick 13, Tippett would have to be around the mark. Can just see him ending up at Sydney, however.
  18. Does picture 2 show the Hall of Shame?
  19. Price of bananas in 12 years? Though I'm not sure what part Jurrah will play in that, either.
  20. What was this "186" game everyone talks of? Darts only goes to 180... It's not a particularly high cricket score, even for a Twenty20... Doesn't seem to fit for basketball, soccer, rugby, ice hockey or netball... 4 great rounds of golf perhaps? 1 bad game of golf?
