  1. I would expect nothing less from trudging around in the filth of Adelaide.
  2. 11 of those players played on the weekend...In just a year we have flushed out so much garbage! Predicting a decent win against the Blues and help give us the confidence into the round 23 potential finals game.
  3. http://www.carltonsc.com/index.php?topic=3058.0 Do yourselves a favour and go into the Carlton pre game thread. They are shaking in their boots about having to front up to us. "We need 2 ruckmen to even think about breaking even with Gawn" was my personal favourite. Also to note, Cripps and Weitering carrying injuries into this game.
  4. That's why he is waiting on these contract talks, if we secure him he may graduate to the $10 tables along with Tom Boyd, Scully and Ablett
  5. Pedo stays in. Hogan has a good long hard look at himself and realises he hasn't kicked a goal in over a month of footy. Jeffy would be my only omission and it's a stretch...perhaps bring in BK for him based on form. Very hard to change a winning formula. I would love to see Wiedeman in but baring injury I just don't know who we drop for a 1 gamer in what is considered a pressure game considering we are still playing for our season.
  6. 1. its now round 22 and we can still make finals. 2. No one is talking "re-build" or looking towards the trade/draft week. 3. Ask any of our players...I bet they don't want the season to end, they look like they want to play another 22 rounds. How good is this?!
  7. Reading Demonland... Thinking we have lost by 60. We just beat Port at home by 40 for the first time in 16 years. Deadset guys.
  8. Book business class flights down to the G in September.
  9. I too am hoping to make my virgin appearance down there this year, I will have to get some more leave and be kind to the boss too... The boss at home as well as at work, considering I have been away from home for 3 months and get back on the 25th of August, the missus may not be too pleased with my plans to fly down to Melbourne (We live in sydney) for a couple nights. 1. J. Viney 2. M. Gawn 3. J. Watts 4. D. Tyson
  10. Hogan isn't our best player. He is borderline our best forward of recent weeks. He last kicked a goal a month ago. Not dissing the bloke, love him, hope he stays and he is always developing, but in the 2 games we have been without him we have beaten Geelong and Hawthorne...Well.
  11. Garlett out, BK in. And honestly have no idea who comes out for Hoges...even if he comes in at all.
  12. Anyone else here see countless parralells between Roosy and Daniher? Their demeanour, their approach to the game, the MFC's love for him. I got really upset and couldn't understand why when Neale left, and I will feel the same when Roos leaves. However I am slightly hopeful that we will see him around the club a little more often than he lets on. In addition, I have nothing but faith in Goody, he knows modern footy, he has been in champion teams and has been taught by the best in the business.
  13. When exactly will my throbbing erection go down? I was on the streets of Waikiki last night following it on the public wi-fi screaming like a lunatic.
  14. I didn't watch the game due to be being on the ocean (It's still blue and wavey by the way) all I could do was refresh the fox footy site every few seconds to see the score tick over (I only found out there was a kick after the siren this morning...Thank Christ, I am only 25 but my heart wouldn't have been able to deal with it) From what I am reading and seeing, it was a "tired" game of footy due to the Demons round 16-19 tour of Australia. I reckon we should be omitting due to injury and fatigue the following. Hogan(Inj) Harmes(Rest) Garlett(Who knows why he is playing so poorly) Dawes(Don't yell at me Stuie, I just really want to see Hulett) And bring in the following. Weidman. Oliver/Bugg. Benken. Hulett. I am confident we can pull something out of our arses on Saturday because we went into the Geelong game last year with a few outs and managed to do well and like any Demons fan I have a wonderful misguided faith in the team. On anoother good note, I have managed to swing it so I am back home in Sydney just in time for our last round game against Geelong which will be good...because when we win every game for the rest of the season, and the 3 teams above us all fail I will be home in time for our first finals series in a few years...cheering!
  15. I wouldn't mind Rance in red and blue, might have to clear it with General Viney though, Alex might be a little gun shy when they first meet in red and blue. Wattsy is a good bloke, I am sure he has forgiven him.
  16. Given that the garden salad I had at lunch has more intensity than their midfield today should be a walk-over. I think we wil win quite comfortably, I would love to see a 100 point demolition of the Suns.
  17. So as I am sure a few of you guys and girls are just like me and have a super coach team.. "This is my year...Perhaps next year" is currently the status of my team. I saw a supercoach Melbourne Demons best team for the last 15-20 years. Saw some names in there which brought back great memories of posters on my wall as a kid and would like to know your thoughts on the team! B: N. Brown, C. Bizzell. P. Wheatley HB: D. Cross, M. Whelan, D. Ward C: T. Johnstone, A. Yze, J. McDonald HF: C. Bruce, B. Green, R. Robertson F: A Davey, C. Sylvia J, Hogan RUC: J. White, M. Gawn Foll: B Moloney, N. Jones, I/C: B. McLean, D Tyson, B. Vince 1 Noteable omission for myself is Nietz out for Sylvia...Kinda isulted to be honest. But pretty accurate otherwise, good to see 5 current players in there (Viney should be there too) Who do you guys think will be replaced in this list in the next couple years with currently listed players? I would love to see T. Mac, J. Hunt, there in the coming years.
  18. Indeed I am mate, I am only back in the country for the last game of the season, (Geelong on the 27th) I get that he played well last week and if he stands up this week anjd puts his stamp on the game then fair cop and he should remain in the side based on form, however I think it's too little too late for Dawes and he is staring down the barrell of a de-listing come seasons end, I know we don't want to deny him his 50th Melbourne game and get our moneys worth from him, but the times are a changing and the sunset on his career at Melbourne (And in general) is upon us, move over and time to blood the new fellas
  19. Actually no I didn't Stuie, I have been and will continue to be away from home on deoployment with the Navy for a few more months, so I am not afforded the luxuries of a TV or radio on game day. All I have access to is the stats and sporaddic score updates. I see that he kicked 2 and played alright, I just don't like him in the team and I don't think he will be in the team next year so would rather start getting some senior experience into the young guys.
  20. I hope you aren't pulling the [censored] outta me haha, I would say out of every game for the remainder of this season it would be.
