I'm not expecting anything special from him tonight, it'll take at least a year of AFL footy before he will get anywhere near his best. At the very least he'll get an understanding of what's required to perform at the highest level.

If he wants to go then let him. CAC is in charge of list management, but isn't one of our major problems an overrated list? Sure his drafting has been ok, but nothing special when compared to other teams, also our poor history of drafting KPP's must also be taken into consideration. It would be interesting to see what his reputation would be like here if he never posted on this forum.

He'll get more development playing alongside Bizzell rather than Lamb, Miller and Ferguson. I'll use Rivers as an example. Buckley's form at Sandy has been as good as Brown who just isn't up to consistent AFL standard performances any more. It's a selection that has more to do with Daniher than our future. His first 16 games have been as good and probably better than the bloke who you got your username from, but he was given more opportunities because he was a number two pick. I don't think anyone is capable of judging him yet because we haven't seen enough of him with Melbourne. Also compare Brown's first four years, he was even worse than CJ but was still given more opportunities.

I competely agree with that, so yeah, everyone should be considered then.

I know I won't get much support with this but I actually rate Thomas as a coach. He managed to get the Saints into the finals while having to deal with injuries as bad as we've hd, he's also one of those blokes who just think differently than everyone else around him, which can be an advantage. He lost his job because of a personal relationship going sour, not because he's a bad coach. I highly doubt that we'll get Reiwoldt if he becomes our coach though.

I understand what you're saying but at the end of the day it's come down to your opinion and it's healthy to disagree. I just don't think we can afford him and I think there are other younger guys who are just as good.

That's a flawed theory because losing draft picks will hurt you in 3 or 4 years time, when those players are meant to mature. Pagan's teams have been dreadfull since he started at Carlton and he wasn't too good after Carey left. Carey is probably the most influential player we've seen in the modern era, more so than Judd.

One of those goals was clearly a free kick, he had his hands right in the middle of Bell's back then sheepishly looked at the umpire after taking the mark, so call it 1 goal and 6 touches, still not too bad.

I don't know where to start with this post so I'll only pick three things. Firstly, you are wrong on CJ, completely. Secondly, your comment on Frawley doesn't make any sense at all. He'll be cherry ripe if has a good pre-season, playing with Sandy for the rest of the season will have no impact at all in terms of being ready next year. Thirdly, we need to build for the future, and I can guarantee you that Ward and Brown will never play in a premiership for Melbourne, CJ and Buckley should be playing instead. Then at least we'll have a better understandng of what they're capable of.

Winning down at Geelong was a good moment. Actually, Daniher as a person is pretty difficult to dislike, every time he's interviewed it normally pretty entertaining.

Keep the highlighted delist the rest, query about Heath Neville, i'd be surprised if he was given aan extension so by my dodgey calculations shouldn't he be out of contract as well? Pretty sure we can delist as many as we want. Warnock would have to consider himself lucky to keep his spot. See what we can get for White, Bruce and Green, but only trade if it's a great deal for us.

I hear Mark Jackson and Allen Jakovich are still alive, we could get them as well to fix our problems up forward

This weekend will be his last game

Mitchell has just stated that it's coming up soon and confirmed again that Daniher won't coach past this weekend, not surprising really, you can't have a coach who is a very good chance to be at another club next year. Very sad for Daniher to go out like this, I've been very strong that he shouldn't have his contract extended but it's sad to have coem to this.

A lot of these things are based purely on gut instinct. Me though, I don't agree. For starters we won't be able to afford him and I don't think he's really that good. At the Kangaroos he had some great players who really didn't need to much direction and at Carlton he hasn't shown anything other than an ability to rack up priority picks.

Why does it take an ex-champion to make these comments to highlight the problem? This issue has been discussed on this site for a very long time, especially with out forwards.

Woewodin was my favourite player at the time but the club did the right thing in trading him.
