CAC is a bit different, he's not an assistant coach, more of a manager. Why do some assistants only get one year contracts but Fagan gets more?

RR is right, a new coach almost always brings his own people in, and added to that is our policy of only doing one year contracts with the assistants, so it's really a given.

I'd even go one step further WJ, with the rumour of a player out for the rest of the season I'd promote Neaves and also give him a run.

Coaching a country team < Assistant coach at AFL level, just my opinion, I think he made a mistake, set himself back a couple of years.

Last time he was with us he couldn't get out of here quick enough and go coach in the country, I doubt that he'll want to come back.

It wouldn't be the decision that I'd make but it's not as bad as you're making it out to be, for starters Voss isn't currently coaching so there'd be no problems in that regard and it would give the club a chance to get a good look at him.

This is time to acknowledge the contribution Daniher has made to the club over the last ten years, we all know the negatives so they don't need to be mentioned again. He's made his decision and I wish him all the best in the future. My favourite Daniher moment was when he reinvented himself a couple of years ago to increase the club's profile.

The answer is yes, but what also drags the figure down is having less that 17k against an interstate team, what's drags it up is our annual Queen's B'day home game against the pies.

I am constantly amazed by people's willingness to hang people with little or even no information on what really happened.

IMHO the price he has to pay is to stay off the booze and drugs, now if he was found goofed up to his eyebrows and tested positive then yes, I agree that he should be in trouble but really, what has he done wrong?

So what? He's allowed to have a social life, perhaps he knows the owners or managers.

Firstly, he didn't say all of our supporters are fickle, but I agree with him. We have one of the lowest membership numbers and when we don't play well we get shiite crowds. Look at Collingwood and Essendon, even when they're playing poorly they get 50k plus crowds. I fear for our future.

Completely agree, up untill now they have done a great job with resurrecting the club financially. I don't completely agree with everything they've done but that's life, you can't make everyone happy all the time.

Most people don't even know who are the other board members. Give me one example of when a club goes bad that the President doesn't cop the flak and the other board members do.

That's an interesting post Red, I was under the impression that you thought Newton was mentally weak, surely if that's true then this weak would be the last game he should play in.
