  1. I believe that Daniher is coaching for Daniher and not what is the best for the club.
  2. You said poor grammar doesn't deserve credibility, they're your words.
  3. Yes, I was wondering when you'd weigh into this debate, although I must admit it took longer than I was expecting, but thankyou for not letting me down.
  4. They were your words, I did nothing to twist them, just gave you an example of a plausible reason.
  5. That line of thinking doesn't make sense though Jaded. Ok, they've played well before in the past but that isn't a reason it play them ahead of others who are in much better form - if that's really the case then we should pick up Robbie in the next draft. Dunn is meant to be a key forward but he can't take a contested mark to save himself, that's why Daniher was playing him on the wing and Bate and Sylvia up forward.
  6. That clearly wasn't SMS language, no idea what it was but it definitely wasn't SMS talk.
  7. Why are they ahead right now? Dunn's performances over the last four weeks have been (at the very best) ordinary, and definitely not up to AFL standard and Miller's has been even worse. Newton though, on the other hand could not have been much better considering he hasn't had the same opportunities.
  8. IMHO Daniher is to blame for the continuing Miller threads and the reason is that we are all aware of what he is and isn't capable of, the problem is that he gets opportunity after opportunity but other players who alot of supporters believe have more talent aren't given the same go.
  9. Interesting comment. There are many reasons why someone's grammar may not be up to your standards, perhaps English is his/her second (or even third) language, which may explain their errors. So with that in mind are you telling me that someone from a non-English speaking background lacks credibility?
  10. Newton should be played alongside David Neitz, however any game time at all is appreciated. Dappa is right, now Newton will attract the second best defender as a marking forward. It would have much better for his development to have Neitz next to him to take the pressure off and also show him how to play as a big forward instead of starting games on the bench in the VFL.
  11. A run with Sandy wouldn't do either of them any harm and Whelan would be another option to bring in.
  12. Why Nathan Brown?
  13. How do you feel when you see Brock do well?
  14. Well, there goes 90% of the threads on this website.
  15. I'm only interested in winning premierships, they haven't won one while I've been alive, and they also haven't looked like winning one in the last ten years. I'm fully prepared for the club to do the smart thing for the rest of this season so we can be a much stronger club for the next couple of years.
  16. Started the game on the bench!?!! Is this true!?! He's been as good as any of the other forwards for Sandy over the last 4 games and they start him on the friggen bench?!! FFS, this has to effect people's opinion's on whether we should go it alone for reserves, especially now that the AFL will make it cheaper. He should be learning the trade by playing alongside our best key forward, David Neitz, not by getting splinters for Sandy.
  17. I don't think we have a chance in hell of making the finals, but more importantly, and I know I'm going to cop it for this but I don't give a flying duck, I hope we stay in this position at the end of the season. We're not going to play finals and I'd prefer to get a quality kid, either Cotchin or Kreuzer, than a couple of meaningless wins and end up 9th ot 10th. Flame away
  18. Why do you need to remind me his achievements?
  19. Hayes is really worthy of discussion, it seems he'll be the type of player that will either be a great success or a spectacular failure, nothing in between. Can you imagine how you'd feel being a coach and drafting him and being responsible for helping him to succeed?
  20. It's not that I think they shouldn't be in the business, I just realise that when you live under the public microscope personal issues can be alot harder to deal with, I've seen how much pressure it can add to people. It takes alot of character to work through it. Pickett is in his late 20's and he's made alot of mistakes, you'd hope that by now he'd eb able to get it right. Hayes on the other hand is still a kid who has probably never been taught the skills to deal with his issues (I have no idea what they are btw, none of my business), who knows what he is capable of.
  21. I've been reading Wisbey's reports now for years, but like everything else in football it's just his opinion. He gets as many right as he gets wrong but his descriptions are usually pretty good and very, very in depth. Even though his knowledge far outweighs mine I wouldn't change my own opinion on a player. It's just really good to see someone's insight on players who sees alot of games, like when CAC makes comments here, they normally pick up things that I don't see or missed. My post though was probably more about acknowledging something that I accused the current coaching team of, and the drafting of Hayes proves me wrong.
  22. Me personally? Nothing. But I've seen him play a couple of times and I think he can seriously play, worth working through the hard times imho.
  23. Football isn't your standard 9 to 5 job, having to always be in the public spotlight isn't the best place when you have issues.
  24. Daniel Hayes, hmmm, this kid could be CAC's and Daniher's greatest success, I take back my comments in another thread about conservative attitudes. I really think this kid can make it.
  25. There's no point in risking any of them, give them all as much time as needed to recover.
