  1. Or: “Be part of the journey - highway to Hell, or finals”
  2. My boy has done the guard of honour twice, and loved it. They generally post the guard of honour photos on their Facebook page. Worth checking.
  3. You shouldnt be kicking the ball at somebody’s back Dr G! (Especially Gus)
  4. Welcome back DA, missed you on the boards. Hope you’re doing ok
  5. Wouldn’t be the first player to have a renaissance at his second club, but I reckon we’re still better off overall.
  6. I don’t disagree with this at all Mud Dog. This is exactly how ive felt with OMac. But I guess the OMac example has taught me that by giving these kids games now, against my better judgement, they will be at both their physical peak with high levels of confidence when our run of four peat of flags commences.
  7. I should add the GF guarantee to my membership now.... nice summary IT.
  8. [censored] he has to lose some weight to get a body shaped like Tulip's. About 30 kegs I'd reckon
  9. What did Geelong give up to the crows to get Dangerfield?
  10. And as a team we haven't really suffered any blowouts.
  11. I'm not enjoying the discussion on trading Frost. I love that we're building a galvanised group, and I very much see Frost as part of that core (and O Mac, gee he's come on much quicker than I thought). Let's not pick away at the foundations to get to the promise of a flag; this group could just about do it themselves given time. That said, the recruitment team are solid gold, so whatever they reckon is fine by me.
  12. That's a shocker. See yourself out thanks Stinga
  13. So never in the last 25 years then
  14. Have we ever played them at night in Perth? As we keep on winning, these hoodoos are going to become more and more obscure.
  15. He reminds me of Brett Lovett gun.
  16. I'm going to take Saty's line on this and leave it in the hands of those in the think tank that have displayed considerable acumen and results with little to play with in terms of draft picks. I have complete faith.
  17. I'd have to say Nash in support of this that I recall relatively few stoppages deep in defence. Most stoppages are, IIRC, across the half back line and our mids are generally back in support and tackling. Backs generally hang off the the contest where possible and try to get quick ball movement via handball chains to a player in space (often Hibbo) to clear. When I think of the Mac brothers, its intercept marking that's their strength. Frosty is our rebound ace. Gresham from St Kilda just ran T Mac around in circles in R1, danced around him and kicked goals. I don't think of our backline as tackling grunt, with the exception of the oft underrated (but not here) Jetta.
  18. We were screaming out for midfield depth at the time, I'd have gone with Angus. If we stocked up on young defenders instead, we'd be arguing that we are going back to 2012...and we need midfield depth. i haven't written off Angus just yet. He's 22 in January. Give him time.
  19. STMJ, is that a list of stats or rather a shopping list of talent to plug the gap?
  20. Ash, top effort mate. Made the lack of footy over the bye just that bit more pleasurable. one request - can we get Trac's goal in fro QB last year where he spins away from (I think it was) Sinclair? I can see myself watching this several times!
  21. Nathan Jones interviewed this morning on SEN and stated he'd never seen anyone like Clarry in 11-12 years of playing football. It was quite a wrap. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2017/05/03/get-around-oliver-for-the-brownlow-says-dees-captain/
  22. Looking at it from another angle Nash, could it be argued that Silvagni was impeding the ruckman from getting to the contest? #long bow
  23. How slick was your canteen lady at handpassing the sausage rolls?
  24. Nah, not quite there yet. Need to win a flag...
