  1. Highs- Winning 10 on the trot to start the year even though we appeared to be running purely on Adrenaline. Getting to see the boys live in Alice and seeing Kozzie light the place up with 6 goals against Port. Our huge wins against Dockers and Lions on their home turf when we were playing for a top 4 spot. As mentioned by Spirit the win against Carlton and that goal by Kozzie. Lows- The three losses in a row and wondering why the wheels had finally fallen off. The second Collingwood loss was such a hard fought and bitter loss. The two finals defeats and trudging back to the car in the muddy MCG car park knowing that our boys had fought valiantly but in the end had run out of legs and that we had lost that superhuman competitive edge. Luke Jackson pulling the pin on our magnificent Football Club and that really hurt more than when Hogan deserted us.
  2. One of the things that has been overlooked by the experts is that Shannon Byrne returned to the Cats after 8 years with us, he knew our game plan intimately. He attended all Training sessions and was the person who passed all the messages and changes to the team during play. If you watch “Sound The Alarm” Goody spoke with him more than anyone else during the Granny. He had a lot of knowledge and in- house intelligence on us.!!!!
  3. Nah he is 19 yo we will give him a couple of seasons to hang our coat tails on.!! He has already shown that he has the potential but feel real good about this kid.!!
  4. Great pickup MadAsHell, I think that JVR will play as our second tall and at 6’4” just need to get him up to 98-100kg and watch out he will be playing in tandem with BB, Fritta and TMac plus hopefully another tall we pickup in the Draft. ps( he is taller than Curnow and Fogarty and is Neita/ Schwartz size) pps( Could go back to release Petty).
  5. Thanks EO, great memories I watched the Prelim and Granny last night absolutely brilliant football just hope that we get to see it live sometime in the future at the Mighty G.❤️💙❤️
  6. Thanks for posting that Pennant St Dee, brings back great memories of the Wiz and Woey and how they started out with MFC, they both had excellent careers and are Champions in their own right. They both played a role in our rise back up the ladder to footy relevance, so glad that they were able to continue their careers in WA. !!
  7. I am in the same mindset wiwa………,,,,, I can’t wait for tomorrow’s game to be here and gone, eager to see who else leaves the club what we receive for LJ and who JT and Lamb pick up in the draft. Then start focusing in on the 2023 season and our climb back to redemption this time next year.❤️💙✅
  8. Lord Nev is 2.7 high? What is the average turnovers in our team.
  9. Thommo provides great depth and at 195cm provides coverage for Lever and May and helps hold Casey defence together when not needed. Happy to keep him, Turner is more a Hibbo replacement and long term prospect.!!
  10. Funny but Grandfinal day has always been a big deal in our family but Fortunately last year has changed my perspective completely nothing will ever compare to that feeling that I felt this time last year. I feel no love towards either combatant but will watch out of curiosity I hope they knock themselves out and one wins by a point.!!!
  11. I always believed that Austin Wonaeamirri left Melbourne because his father was killed in a motor accident and Austin needed to take his place whereas Liam Jurrah became involved in a rival family dispute as he was a Tribal Elder.??
  12. Hi Demonland I cannot access the report but sounds horrendous from all posters.😪😢
  13. Congratulations Troy you are doing a great job with our backline, I hope that you stay with us whilst we are in the premiership window. Big accolade for future Resume.❤️💙✅
  14. Agree LH Rosman good size, long kick can take a mark, just injury prone and couldn’t get a good run at it.!!
  15. I am looking forward to - Fitter, more sustained pressure Tougher, be the hunters, take no prisoners Smarter, kick long when it’s on, lower the eyes or kick sideways to open space and no more loopy handballs which ar 50/50 at best. Blood the youngsters. We blooded Sparrow, JJ, LJ, Kozzie, Riv and Bowey over a two year period and won a Granny we need to be more daring and don’t carry injured players.
  16. Agree thought Chandler was top 5 for us.!!
  17. Watched the game from home was very impressed with the Sharks skill level and size they came out of the blocks hard and fast, pretty decent skill levels as well. I thought we might be in a bit of trouble but loved the way our Casey boys worked their way back into the game White and Munro were enormous, Dunstan, Chandler, Bedford, Baker and Weid played huge games. Thommo, Turner, Smith we’re strong in defence, Melksham, Brown, JVR and Woewodin all chipped in in the forward line. A great team effort and very deserved and satisfying win after being the best team all year, I might add very well coached as well. I might add very well supported as well and how good was it to see all senior players, coaches and Former champs in the crowd. Special thanks to KC, Werridee and all posters who are able to attend games and keep us informed, particularly from the Casey side re players, etc.❤️💙✅💕
  18. One of the things that came out of the reflections was the reason we are pursuing Grundy so hard, we knew Max was carrying an injury but didn’t realise how serious the injury was and our ruck stock cupboard was bare, LJ was off the boil and halfway out the door. We sure put a lot of our eggs in the LJ basket, so JT and our recruitment team will be working overtime to try and rectify this lack of talls. Good luck boys.
  19. When they interviewed TMac last week at Casey he said that he got his boot stop caught in someone’s bootlace? It must have been worse than he thought.😪😢
  20. As much as we love Clayton he receives very little support from the umpiring brethren, a couple of free kicks would stamp it out, so even though he maybe the most deserving recipient, sadly I am not at all confident that he can win the Umpires Award.
  21. Thank you DD for all your hard work, those stats really reinforce what we have all been trying to come to grips with but quite clearly the stats spell it out for all to see and yes Petty, May, Harmes, Clarry, Langdon, Hibbo and ANB came to the party. It also shows that a number of our best players were well down on form And we still only lost by 13 points. Just shows how important it is to play your Best Fit players but also shows get the boys back to full health and fitness and we can be right in it in 2023.
