Tommy was great for us in 2018 & 2021 and a fit TMac provides extra depth to May, Lever, Tomlinson, Turner and Adams. I hope Tommy gets back to his best in case we need him down back. The boys can learn a lot from TMac fwd & back.

That is terrible news for you DubDee, I hope that you can get the heart issues sorted in your favour. It is really sad to hear your mother has had surgery for cancer, it is a very tough time for you and your family. My wife is a cancer survivor so can appreciate what you are going through. Kyah has a different look about him this preseason he is starting to fill out and looks like he has determination and intent. He, Will Verrall and Josh Schache should form a competent ruck combination at Casey in 2024. Providing Kyah show’s continued improvement he will be given time to develop, bringing Tom Fullarton into the club affords our young rucks time to develop under Max’s guidance.

I like the look of Andy and I hope that he has a breakout year for us at Casey and also gets an opportunity to shine for us in 2024. AMW looks like a keeper.

Captain Tom Sparrow has a nice ring to it doesn’t it, who knows he’s a very switched on intelligent individual, he understands what we stand for and where we want to get to.

Interesting that jnrmac and you both mentioned confidence, when I look at Bailey I see a kid that doesn’t look comfortable in his environment. So it probably is a lack of confidence, hopefully he can get inspired during this preseason perhaps focus on the Duke and the Kolt they both look very comfortable in heir own space.!!

Yes I was looking forward, what an oversight Jack has been carrying the load for the past 12 years and is our second most famous father son, now he gets the opportunity to share the mantle with a range of sons and daughter.

Isn’t it great after jealously watching Cats, Pies, Hawks, Tiges, Blues father sons shining on the field it looks like it is going to be finally our turn to reap the benefits of our former stars. We now have Woey, Brownie and Rigoni and Kalani looks to be an absolute Jet in 2025 plus Aaron Davies lad Marley is moving to Melbourne to finish his education And Jeff has two more boys coming through. Can you really believe it, not that you can count on all making the cut but still very exciting for MFC supporters.

From memory we missed the finals in 2017 by percentage, we made a Preliminary final the following year and got beat up by the eventual premiers, we had a horrid 2019 multiple surgeries, etc, just missed the finals in 2020 shortened quarters due to Covid, then actually won the Flag in ‘21. We have followed up by finishing top 4 two years in a row but we’re bundled out in straight sets due in part to injuries, inaccurate kicking and a degree of bad luck. I attended all those four finals and not once were we smashed but I was still gutted, battered, angry and frustrated, However I have put it behind me, I have moved on and I am looking forward to what we can do better and get luckier in 2024-25. I am now starting to tire of those supporters who want to keep beating the club and particularly our Very successful coach and playing group up and you have to give some Credit to the sides we played who kicked straighter and had a lot of luck go their way.!!

Jed Adams looks a lot like a young Harrison Petty, I will watch him a lot closer in 2024 to see how he develops as you never know when your opportunity will arrive, remember when Adam Tomlinson went down in 2021 and Petty slotted seamlessly into the team. Jed has time to develop but you have to be ready to step up when it is your time. Work hard Jed.

Will’s junior coach gave him a huge wrap at STH Adelaide so I am looking forward to seeing an unhindered Will Verrall stepping up in 2024. Will Verrall has a nice ring to it.!!

When I read about Alyssia Pisano I didn’t think we had any hope of seeing her in the Red and Blue. Just shows how good our recruiting team is, welcome aboard Alyssia hope you kick a bag in 2024.!!
