and then there's always the people that treat everything as 'no big deal' & keep their mouths shut about [censored] up [censored] on the internet (almost stubbornly - no matter what it relates to).. if nev is ok with it, i am ok with it. but i wouldn't feel comfortable wearing a shirt that is designed by a beer company (there's numerous potential issues here), with nev being redrawn to be a bloody lord/pope or whatever that design is.. its pretty offensive.

orrr, the club could launch a new range of smokes? 'pj premiership edition'. all funds raised going to building toilets next to the new training ground so that the players no longer need to defecate in the long grass of gosch's. lol.

don't listen to the footy stuff on the radio (already being on here is enough and my girlfriend would leave me if i started blaring that [censored] in the car), but i do tune in to afl 360 on occassion and he seems ok. lots more way annoying commentators than him. he's at least intelligent.

have you heard tom interviewed? he'll play anywhere the team needs him. we are fine to move forward with these three forwards. sam is still learning and as others have said, injuries and form issues can arise. they can look for other opportunities and we can be concerned about retention after our second or third flag. which other team would they want to play for? its clear that MFC has the best chance of all clubs to dominate the comp in the coming years. they should be lucky to be with us (just as we're lucky to have them).

geez the players looking to move from their current clubs would be finding the dees game style pretty damn exciting! i reckon the recruitment team have a few surprises for us all over the next few months.. as we don't have much to trade with, it could centre around a 3 or 4-way complicated trade situation with lower picks for draft points, etc..

just did the ladder predictor for the last four rounds...after a few glasses of talisker single malt. GREAT NEWS! we won't lose a game for the rest of the year *insert excitement emoji* i also found that i cannot tip against richmond and essendon seem to have momentum with them at the moment.. my ladder has richmond taking first spot by 3 games and essendon winning but still missing finals on percentage ([censored] me i would crack up if that happened).

notice how most of the tigers players can consistently kick to their team mate's advantage to? makes a MASSIVE difference. our players don't seem smart enough to do it?..

you don't think one would be handy for when we play the likes of hawkins, ben brown, mason cox? ha.. ok.

carlton wouldn't get rid of weitering.. he's gonna be a pillar and leader of their team one day. but, in saying that, i would trade tyson for him every day of the week. win-win for both clubs.

two things: 1. surely carlton wouldn't get rid of weitering.. they know what they have. however, he was a dees supporter growing up (crazy bastard) * probably a basketballer too ? say we got him, wouldn't he be too similar to lever? i think that maybe with those two and hibberd, things might get messy? not sure though, i don't watch carlton play 2. there's no way may would come down to us. he's from darwin isn't he? his family would be all up north. goldy weather would be somewhat similar. why on earth would he move to cold and wet melbourne?! i reckon he'll stay as sole captain until the AFL finally packs that club in.

he first impressed me at some of his early training sessions at gosch's.. i thought he'd just be a feisty mid. he has surprised, bringing leadership to our relatively young group & has impressed me with his laser kicks to the other forwards and vision. i just wish he was more consistent. good on him!

do they even exist at the moment? people throw up the likes of isaac smith alot, but if every player in the afl was gettable, who has the speed & footskills that the dees need? they're either flakey, fast and have poor footskills (see hunt), only run in straight lines (also see hunt, but obviously a lot of others), or have amazing foot skills like a matt suckling. gaff (especially considering our list demographic) seems like the best bet for our group. he will compliment and not need to really win his own ball. oliver, brayshaw, etc will feed it out to him.

like him a lot.. looks like a player that wouldn't choke in the big moments. you'd have to have him in the team should they arise in the coming years. other teams clearly underestimate him too. its great.

cats, swans and crows are potentials i reckon.. maybe even gws at the G, but prob pretty unlikely.

he ain't going no where..he's a dee. i'm sure the club has him as taking over jonesy's role (in potentially a variety of ways) heading into the future.

yeah, i know who he is. right.. he'd cost a mint though and i think we're still needing 2-3 mids. ah whatever, see how it plays.

did someone say on another thread (gaff maybe?) that we would be keen on mcgovern. two questions. which mcgovern? and, was it that he is available and we SHOULD be interested or that we ARE interested? i can't see where either would fit into our team as is..
