We are still chasing a key forward and Pederson and Gumbleton are two that have come into contention. Watch this space! Also former eagle Ashley Hansen has come into consideration for a rookie list spot on the dees as for insurance.. Hansen had a great year in the WAFL kicking over 50 goals this year. Speaking to one of my friends who works at the AFL as a writer this is what i can conjure up. Angus Monfries has met with Port Adelaide officials and a four year deal was put in front of him. He looks certain to accept it. Ricky Petterd held discussions with Collingwood today. Travis Cloke set to sign with Collingwood for 5 years $800k a year. Fifth year based on performance. Eseendon have made another big pitch for Goddard. Four year deal with $700 to $750k a year. Didn't get along with Watters. Danyle Peace has had interest from a couple of Victorian clubs. Apparently, we are the front runners ATM. Troy Chaplin and Chris Knights are certain to pull on a Tiger jumper next year (though Melbourne is still intrested in Knights). Andy Otten has had five clubs inquire about him. We are one of them. Ben Jacobs obviously wants to return home. Richmond are into Patrick Karnezis. We, along with a couple of clubs, are into him as well. We are still heavily into Wellingham. Martin or Gysberts could be used as part of a trade with the Pies.

Just remember one thing people is that James Sellar dominated if not had a more impressive underage football background then Hogan.. people can bring up the comparison about darling but atleast darling can kick! please MFC go for toumpas Macrea Membrey Wines instead of wasting it on a forward that we have to wait another year to pull on the red and blue!

We were heavily into Prismall and Warnock and both didn't want a bar of us especially Prismall. Now I look back and think thank christ we didn't touch these 2 duds of the highest order.

Got me thinking after the trapper thread on how much i miss this bloke! his bone jarring tackles most noteably the bulldog special were one of this trademarks along with his courage and fearless attitude! He was not scared of anyone! i remember he got suspended for belting Brendan Fevola one time and laying a crunching tackle that winded Glenn Archer. i really do see alot of traits in young neville jetta and would seriously hope they trail him as a small back pocket in the way wheels played! My favourite Whelan moment was defiently the hird bump!! in todays game he probably got 6 weeks but boy he made sure he hurt them! Heres to the great man! whats everyones favourite Wrecker moment??

i remember the 04 elimination final when the great Mathew Whelan Bone crunching hip and shoulder on golden boy James Hird and travis pounced on the ball took a bounce right on the boundary line and cool and casually slotted it straight throught the middle! Gives you goosebumps watching it everytime!
