Funny how you say Fitzy is awkward unco yet i watched him towel up Heath Grundy (premiership backman that is... you know the ones you love?) against the swans and kick 4 goals against the Lions. I must have saw different to you because i saw huge potenial with this guy. If i was a defender id rather side up against the lumbering Dawes with a wonky knee to be quite honest.Id probably swap Fitzy for Dawes and have Hogan push up to a CHF and have fitzy next to Clark. Two 200cm tall forwards in the goal square to kick isn't a bad idea for me.

I just dont rate Dawes that highly to be honest. Only my personal opinion but i dont think we will ever see a fully fit Dawes on the park especially with his ongoing knee problem he has to battle for the rest of his career. He will play games at 70 to 80 % fit but never 100 %. As already been mentioned Fitzy is more quicker, taller, good turn of speed, and a better overhead mark aswell. You can never question his leadership and courage but i think Fitzy has massive upside and i can see it be untapped under Roos.

When some clueless people wanted him drafted this year i got howled down because i said how much of an alcholic and complete danger he is to society. Obviously 6 months jail wasn't enough to pull his head in. Give him 10 years behind bars seriously. He will kill someone one day.

I agree i would have Fitzy penciled in for round 1 instead of Dawes.

I know he will be a good player and im looking forward to seeing him play. But that heading for a 0 gamer is quite poor. We also have to remember that VFL is quite a big step up so i dont expect him to dominate straight. I just want him to earn his spot, get use to the speed and big bodies and see how we go.

Its no wonder blokes like Watts struggled with the pressure because its the [censored] media that put ridiculous headlines like this before they even play a game. Machsy the kid is only 19 years old of course there is plenty of improvement left in him. He will only get better and the whole AFL know that. He doesn't need to get bigger but he still get a hell of a lot stronger. In fact saw a recent pic of him in Dubai and he is looking seriously fit and slimmed right down so he you would expect to have added some pace aswell. Were you also saying Joel Selwood and Dustin Martin couldn't improve after their first years? Way off the mark there with that comment.

I disagree I reckon he will be a star. His game against Collingwood in that final was very impressive for an 18 year old. kicked 2 crucial goals and looked like a 150 game player that night. His attack on the ball is Joel Selwood like and I love watching him go about his business. I reckon he will have the same impact as what Scott Thompson has had to his career. Will be an absolute gun. But in saying that I am also a fan of Toump and think he too will be a gun player. I reckon we will see a completely different player next year and more burst and explosiveness from him that he showed in the SANFL. Future leader in the making and has enormous upside and improvement. At the start of this year he was pretty timid but as the year got on I notice he was going in harder for the ball and making some crunching tackles so he will defiantly improve that aspect of his game. Was only a confidence thing.

Hence why I said he should strap himself to Cross and soak up information and good habits because for him to be a good player he needs to learn from guys like Cross who is one of the ultimate professionals.

The reports have been nothing but positive for young Toump! If he plays well this year I can see a cult like following of the mighty Toump! Been reading that he is one of the louder players at training and is definitely leading by example and setting the right standard. I hope he has been strapping himself to Daniel Cross and sucking off as much information as possible!

Saty I cant quote you for some reason but you said one player mentioned it was good to be treated like adults? that's a very interesting comment? can you shed any more light into what that really ment?

Why would he be mad to leave? after the past woeful 7 years you can't blame him. One of Frawleys best mates played footy up my way this year and I know for a fact he was quite disgruntle at the club and the way it was heading during the Neeld era. He regretted signing that 4 year deal back in 2010. The rumours of him asking for a trade to St Kilda at the end of 2012 are 100% true. Was a massive saints supporter growing up and still has a soft spot for them now. But was told he had to honour his contract. Hawthorn, Gold Coast, Saints and Geelong had discussions with his manager this year in attempt to gear him up for next year's Free Agency. I do know aswell Frawley was rapt to have Roos on board and if we improve massively next year I can see him staying for sure. I haven't talked to his mate since footy season as he was only travelling up on weekends to play but next year if we don't improve its Bye Bye Frawley .. We need to pull a port Adelaide and start winning some big games. Clubs are lining up for his service. Chip loves the club but money wont be the factor as he probably knows Melbourne can pay him well and so they should. It will all come down to on field improvement.

Machsy how did Vince Train? we all know he has elite ball use but in terms of pushing himself and intensity? And surely is now time too start inserting some angry pills into big Pencil, the guy is seriously huuuge!

Things I took out of the photos.. Tyson has a good size rig on him! I reckon he will turn into a big bodied midielder like Hodge. Watts is starting to look like a footballer. Good signs. Toumpas and Matt Jones have buked up and both look set for big years. Salem looks really focused. Hope he is training well. Need to put on a little bit of size but im not expecting big things from him next year. Ps he puts Garry Lyon to shame in the most hairiest department! Lucky he waxes his legs. Cross and Vince will add hard matured bodies into our midfield. Good signs too come. Cross looks unbelievably fit! Georgiou has a big frame on him already. Harmes looks like he has a big body on him already? I thought I read he weighed in the 76 kg? by the looks of that he must be already in the 80s, has massive legs! Spencer is a monster! He could seriously kill someone on the footy field with his frame.
