  1. Ok im starting this to take the attention of the Buddy Saga. But been little reports that we have made contact with Tom Rockliff and Jade Rawlings has boarded a plane for Brisbane with a Melbourne logo folder in hand. Was an article in the Brisbane time about rumors that Tom was not happy with the direction of where Brisbane was heading so I hope we seriously chase him hard. Is up from my way in country Victoria and would make a massive difference to our midfield with now pick 2 on the table. We all know how good he is so im not going to go through the Pros and Cons. Thoughts?
  2. They are gonna clear some salary cap space by the time Hogan's contract is up with us, With Pavlich, Sandilands, Mcpharlin and even Bradley all going next year they can defiantly afford Hogan.
  3. This is Hogan we are talking about though. He plays like a Jonathon Brown and with Freo in need of serious Key Forward they will be keeping close tabs on Jesse and if he makes an instant impact in the AFL expect Freo to throw a massive offer ala Buddy that will be too good to refuse. Though I hear he enjoys living in Melbourne money does talk..
  4. This is why we should come in quick smart and chase one of their midfielders which some will be squeezed. Bird or Luke Parker is who we should chase hard.
  5. GWS Giants ‏@GWS_Giants 17h The GIANTS have withdrawn their offer to Buddy Franklin based on advice that he will accept an offer from the Swans
  6. Mark Stevens ‏@Stevo7AFL 18m Extremely popular Tiger Matty White. Saw him casually walking into Demons' office last week. Would be a loss ... as a free agent has options.. Just wondering there are rumours swirling around that we made contact with Rockliff last week or this week sometime. There was reports Jade Rawlings boarded a Brisbane plane today I think with a Melbourne folder?
  7. My favourite and i hope he pushes up to the midfield nect year. Pace, booming kick, hard at it, aggressive.. reminds me alot of Luke Shuey.
  8. Bit of a difference.Freo is where he is from, they are a big club over in Perth with a massive fan base, talenyed group of players on the up in the next few years, and in real need of a key forward. I expect Freo to put a massive lucrative offer to him in two years if he doesnt sign with us. It would be a massive pulling point for him.
  9. Actually his best position was when he was playing in the back line. His kicking skills off half back can be a weapon.
  10. That article says to me he just thought it was all going to come him when he didnt expext to be delisted in 3 years.
  11. Im going to go left field here and say Alan Richardson.
  12. Simpson i believe was interviewed for the WC coaching gig today.
  13. How about we start a topic like 'How to get off the bottom four' first. Half those players wont be there when we do make a grand final..
  14. Im surprised this hasn't been brought up but did anyone notice this on Saturday..? Was taken down shortly but am I reading too much into this??
  15. My early childhood was Steven Febey streaming off half back and pin pointing pass to the Ox leading out from CHF. Good times.
  16. Turn it up! Cant believe you have the grit to say there list management is worse then us! We are the laughing stock of the AFL because of the management of our list. Time to get out a bit more 316..
  17. Im gonna get howled down for this but to be honest I would have kept Sellar ahead of Pedersen.. Thought he played his best footy as a defender taking the big gorilla forwards. And he actually had decent skills too.
  18. Was told that he was gone before the last round has spoken to five and six clubs and thinks he still has a lot to offer body is good. Passion is sport and science and wants to stay in that industry. said it would be the perfect scenario Did some practical work with the Western Jets. Wallace said he sets the standard in regards to training and professionalism Wallace also said he would fit a Paul Roos type player. Said he is hungry to play and would go anywhere. Has been training hard already. Wouldn't mind going to a club to help young players out and even win. Wallace also said Cross is one of the best trainer he has ever seen in his time. He is also sets the standard and very team orientated. Wouldn't name the clubs he has spoken to out of respect and said the talks have been positive. Wallace just mentioned after the interview that he would be the perfect fit for Melbourne.
  19. Good lets close this thread now
  20. Will be very interesting in how Roos uses Grimes. Half back Flanker or Midfielder?
