Lol.. Bluey going all out here.- Callum Brown
- Time to experiment
If we didnt even experiment with a guy that was was bed ridden all week with the flu then you'll never see any experimentation from a coach that is one of the most stubborn in the league.- POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
Mate I agree.. As tough as it would i wouldnt blame Rivers if he decided to request a trade to West Coast just further enhance his talent and ability by playing more midfield time at the eagle. He'd actually be a gun in their mid alongside Harley Reid. The treatment by Goodwin towards River has been not only mind boggling but pretty pathetic actually.- 2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
The talent across the championships was pretty bare to be honest. Big call here but I can't recall a year where the talent pool has been so poor as what it is this year alone.- Trade Targets
Cody Walker will be an absolute jet. I've seen this kid first hand dominate senior footy at country league level. Can see him becoming very similar to Will Ashcroft. You can build a midfield around him and Jagga Smith who imo is another jet.- Trade Targets

We definitely had interest to the point of the recruiting staff travelling up to Wangaratta to interview him and his family in the home, but clearly they saw Tholstrup as the better fit.- POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
What's even more funny is that even though he was bed ridden with the flu we still played him majority of the midfield minutes ๐คฃ Poor Trent Rivers thinking to himself what more doe he need to do to get a look in..- POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Carlton
๐ฅด- Time to start a rebuild?
There was no talk of rebuild as of October 2024. Clearly the message from Tim Lamb here was to compete and finish as high up as the ladder as we could.- Time to start a rebuild?
Do you think either Petracca or Oliver goes at years end?- Trade Targets
We were able to attract Lever, May, Langdon, Tomlinson, Brown before 2021.- Trade Targets
Welcome to being irrelevant again.- Joe Daniher
Its a good attempt but in my opinion its about 0.5%chance of happening. Hes a very private person and has business interests outside of footy that i believe he'll embark on.- Joe Daniher
- 2023. So close but so far. Footy and life. Some more meanderings from a marginally mired Melbourne man.
- Farewell Judd McVee
Not only is AMW smaller then Hibberd but he is more suited to the dangerous smalls such as Charlie Cameron, Rankine, Nick Watson, Willie Rioli types. He'd match them for speed and aggression. Hibberd had a good blend of being able to play on the smalls but could also sit on Dusty Martin, Patrick Dangerfield or a Toby Greene because he had strength and frame to able to match it with those bigger bodied type meduim forwards. I see AMW as a Mathew Whelan type lock down defender who would play on the likes of Stephen Milne and Jeff Farmer types. Twice this year we've had Cam Zurhaar get hold of us simply because we had no decent match up on him. Kind of player that Hibberd would have easily locked down on.- Farewell Judd McVee
Surprised me as well. And the perfect protype defender suited well on Moir.- Time to go Goody?
The Rivers non midfield selection is one of the more bizarre decisions going around. I mean he literally said pre game against Gold Coast few weeks back he would start to gets a few different looks in the midfield at the back end of the season and yet once again, hasnt followed through with it. Rivers trainedas a mid over the summer but has yet barely had a look in since. Once again, Goodwin goes into panic mode and reverts back to his old stubborn way. What's even more depressing is that we have another 12 months of this all over again.- Farewell Judd McVee
Do we know for a fact he was on Moir? I mean, whoever it was, it shouldn't have happened. Between our medium defenders in Rivers and McVee someone gave him far too much latitude. We have a history of making ordinary forwards look like Wayne Carey once a year.- Time to go Goody?

I was at that game and everytime I would look down back it was Rivers who was on Curtis. We've got a significant hole ever since Michael Hibberd left the club. We dont have that big medium defender that can take on the likes of Zurhaar, Dangerfield when up forward. McVee has been poor this year unfortunately. How we let Ashton Mior kick 4 goals on the weekend is just appalling. - Max on the Front Bar
