The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Mitch Cleary thinks that we wont bid on Tom Greem which then means it probably makes sense that we wont be splitting our pick 3.

Sparrow, Jordan and Nietschke
He's played against men. Which ever way you look at it he's played against tough hard man who a lot play VFL footy still when selected. Recruiters are scouting these Ovens and Murray games because they feel it's such a good development ground for them especially when they are playing senior against the likes of Albury Tigers where Daniel Cross has been playing the past 3 years. Maybe ask Crossy his opinion on that standard. I am sure you'll get the same exact answer from him. And I know for fact he has been on record in saying this. I don't expect you to have a high opinion of country footy. You've never experienced and seen what these struggling country clubs go to extreme measure to stay alive as a club but also a community.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Barrett said this morning on radio that he doesn't think the pick 3 for GWS split picks will eventuate at all. Said he hasn't heard anything at all and looking most likely that we'll take pick 3 to the draft.

Apparenly Neitschke had really impressed coaching staff before his knee to the ppint where he could have easily played the early games against Richmond and Brisbane.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Going by what Mahoney was saying on trade radio I think you are in for a rude shock. Seems like we will hit the Draft for a small forward. Wasn't no mention of going after any forwards that were available in the trade.

AFL trade week is an absolute crock of [censored]. Such a big build for little return. Should just go for the full week like it's named.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Starting to think we won't split our pick and just head into the Draft with pick 3.

Wrong. Played a few senior footy at my home club in Yarrawonga including the elimination final in 2018. Same club that has included former AFL players like Brendan Fevola, Steve McKee, Tim Hargraves and Jason Wild who have all played there.. The ovens and Murray is regarded as one of the best leagues just below VFL level. A tough and free flowing standard. Young Jimmy is well known to our family as he grew up and played rep footy with my little brother. But they are also close friends. My brother and James were out last Saturday night on the [censored] together.

James Aish
Apparently has been put on the trade table by the pies. 24 year old with 82 games under his belt.

Why are the Saints so attractive?
This reeks of desperation from Ratten. He knows this is his last gig at it. Get it right or he's gone.

Cooked. Will bow out Bernie Vince/Jordan Lewis style. Play a few games in the seniors then finish off at Casey.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
Exciting and fits exactly what we have been missing since early Aaron Davey days. I wouldn't be against using pick 26 on him though.

2019 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May
Needs a HUGE summer. King is right, he will be under immense pressure next year if his body doesn't hold up.

Being the weekend, can trades still get done today and tomorrow??

Jon Ralph says Demons are effectively a basket-case team
Melbourne 2013 was an absolute basket case. Worse then Gold Coast of this year. Melbourne 2019 was definitely not a basket base. Nothing just went right from the start of Pre Season to round 23.

2019 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem
There are many here who overrate Salem grossly. Just feel he hasn't really gotten out of 2nd gear as of yet, but i am hoping he can really step up next year.

Josh Mahoney in the Media
I would not be surprised if we pull a late trade out of the blue. The trading with Carlton chat from Tom Browne just shows that we are clearly not done.

2019 Player Reviews: #12 Toby Bedford
Wasn't adjusting to the tempo of VFL footy at the start all that well but got better towards the end and showed talent. Something to work with.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
Tom Browne @TomBrowne7 A lot of clubs are trying to move up the draft order, including proposing using future picks. Melbourne and Carlton were im told close on a deal that fell over today. Indicative that talent good at top of draft, then falls off, possibly around 7 or 8

Jesus thats some bloody impressive highlights

2019 Player Reviews: #10 Angus Brayshaw
If its true that AB had back issues then it explains well why he'd lost his burst and zip from the contest. Back related issues would have effected his core strength and power through his legs. Hopefully he is able to get a good enough break to hit the pre season injury free.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
I get more of a kick out of that then GNF dribble that comes out. Thank God he's gone.
