Traded into the 1st round only to use our pick on a player that's going to be playing back pocket... Ok.

I'll be very shocked if he ends up on an AFL list. Good on the kid for securing a training gig, but jesus he would want to show massive improvement from when I watched him last year.

Some other key notes. - Jack Carroll was a player of interest, but the order of players they had he just wasn't in that position for them to draft him. - Deakyn Smith will be training with the Dees after the new year. - Taj Woewodin has been invited to train after the new year. - Still deciding whether to offer Kobe Farmer an opportunity or not.

Go to 11:29 @DeeSpencer I think you owe Jason Taylor an apology. Not only did you kick up a big fuss over the Max Holmes debacle you still didn't provide any evidence. Jason Taylor pretty much confirmed that while we were interested to some degree, we had hoped that he would be there at our 3rd pick. Taylor was not fazed one bit that Geelong jumped in early.

If he showed capabilities at AFL level why did he get delisted in the first place? 6 games in 3 years isn't exactly a glowing endorsement on him on his ability.

Collingwood have absolutely cleaned this draft up. They have just traded in pick 24 and pick 30. I'll be honest, can't say I am that excited with our picks so far.

I guess I'll eventually warm to these picks.
