Their first pick isnt until pick 38 which will obviously blow out to the mid 40's

At the end of the day its Lamb's job to draft up a contract and yes get the final tick of approval from the board with any list management decisions. Lamb still has a massive input into this and as it stands he got this one complete wrong. Whether it was panic station from the Roos offer or not, it was completely unnecessary to offer him such a long contract at his age. I'm well aware of both their roles thanks Adam. Taylor has done an exceptional job bringing in some of the talent. Langford and Lindsay for instsnce are easily 10+ year players for this footy club. Give us some more early picks for Petracca and I think he will cook well again. Lamb on the other has butchered some of the list management decisions over the past couple of years. The long list of names i provided have been at the expense of Lamby. Its a long list of genuine list cloggers which has neglected in us bringing in young talent instead. I would love to see Steven King start fresh with a whole new list manager beside him.

Well no not really? If you're talking age then Petracca who is 30 years old is only worth a second rounder going off your criteria. He is about to command an early first round pick as a starting point. McVee has done nothing significant. Hes been a role player and thats it. No guarantee that he turns into a more significant player. For all we know he could just stay as that solid role player at Freo snd churns out a solid 150 games. Hes worth an early to mid 2nd round pick.

Lamb has had an absolute shocker the last couple of years. Billings, Schache, Sharp, McAdam, Dunstan, Fullarton, Hunter, Grundy. Not only that, some of the list management decisions and contracts he's handed out which we are now trying to get off the books. Giving Jack Viney a 4 year offer even though he was already contracted was one of the most bizarre list management decisions i have seen. Giving up a lot in terms of draft capital just to move up the order and select Tholstrup who has already been told he needs to shape up or else. I'd be a happy man if the club got rid of him after this trade period (they wont).

There is no way in hell McVee is worth more then ANB in trade value ANB is not only premiership player who has alao finished top 3 in the best and fairest but a far better player then McVee in general. McVee had a good year in 2024 but thats about it.

I Grab a couple of early draft picks if we can on top off Langford, Windsor, Lindsay, Bowey, Rivers and Kozzie and let King cook up a brand new culture of high performance and professionalism.

I agree mate. I think Humphrey is a long shot so i prefer the two early picks. Grab two high end talents and let King rebuild on the run. Finals is out of the equation next year so if it means we need to take a step backwards to then take two steps forward for hopefully sustained success then I am happy with that.

Yeah I still stand that I think its a long shot with Humphrey. I think Gold Coast will make it hard but also what happens if he doesnt nominate us? Butters may be a long shot but Ben King has spent time with Steven King which i dont really consider a long shot compared to Butters.

Could go towards Humphrey if he nominates us or even Butters or Ben King next year.

No one has said he is as good as Trac.. but he is a star on the rise of the competition and GC will be reluctant to let him go at all which they have been very adamant of unless he comes out and requests a trade back to Victoria and even then I think Gold Coast will be still reluctant to use him as part of a trade.
