From the chat. Is there any info around what exactly Clayton Oliver is unsettled about at the Dees? less Hi Kent, he was frustrated to finish 5th in the best and fairest. I don't think he believes they value him highly enough. He also wants to play in a finals team. He's frustrated.

If we have our interest and eggs in the Isaac Smith basket then I can't see how we will be chasing Phillips. Where does he fit in all of a sudden? Unless Smith turns us down then I cannot see us chasing Phillips.

How so with this? Riley Beveridge mentioned that Oliver, Hunter and Wines had all been linked to the Blues in recent weeks. To me that's interpreted as the Blues definitely showing an interest and asking the question. But as they go on to say, Oliver would be commanding more then they would be willing to spend. Oliver won't go anywhere this year. But won't stop clubs at least asking the question.

Maybe.. But would you say that if it was us linked to Lachie Hunter, Ollie Wines and Patrick Cripps? Funny how supporters look at it at a different angle when its in the different show. People were froffing over Ben Brown being linked to us when Damo Barrett broke the story on Sunday. Yet when its one of ours, its all [censored] and made up. Not saying Oliver will be traded at all. But its fair to say Carlton are showing some form of interest which I'm guessing is normal for him each year.

He doesn't have to wait until his 28 -29 Wise, this is where you're missing the point. I'd laugh at the rumour too if we had been playing finals since 2018 and showing that we are on the up each year, but we're not. And his 5 years at the club he's played finals once. He'll be 24 year knowing he's wasted first half of his career with limited success. There's enough smoke now to say that he's clearly not happy at the club. As i have already said, what that reason being is who knows? There could be other elements that perhaps we are not privy too.
