Melksham and Hunt have proven they are not wingers. They have been trialled there and it hasn't worked. Why move Fritsch from his preferred and best position? Our forward line right now is being built around Weideman and Fritta. Jordon is unproven and Harmes best position imo is Half forward/inside mid.

Agree, Its getting a bit messy now. Isaac has chosen the cats. So I think its time this thread gets locked for good.

Reading that, it seems we won't be in the running for Phillips.

No I agree with everything you've said. I'm in the same boat. I think him coming into our midfield mix just adds a whole new dynamic into that group. His break away speed and ability to hit the scoreboards is something our midfield lacks bar Petracca. There's certainly been some noise that maybe why we cooled on Smith this week was potentially we have turned our focus on someone else in terms of salary? Could this be Treloar? I sure hope so.

Can't say I am impressed with this dynamic to be honest Nev. I've raised concerns in the past having Green on the board with 0 experience. I do know that in terms of his coaching experience he was rated that highly internally at North at Carlton hence why they gave him the flick. Hope this isn't Chris Connelly/Cam Schwab/Garry Lyon all over again...

Out of all the intel it was @CHF that made the most sense last night. Not saying we went cold on Smith, but it sounds like we maybe didn't push as hard as what we usually do when Geelong came hard. This to me could mean something new has come up (Treloar??) that we have turned our attention too.

I would have liked him. But I am not losing sleep that he's not coming. 3 years was probably a tad stretch, but our attention should be now turned to Phillips from Collingwood.
