  1. Plays exactly the way he does when he played back in 2016. Has not improved one bit, and yet I was horrified to hear that at the start of the year talks had been going well about a potential new 2 year deal. It's an indictment on the club that we've gifted him 80 games to show absolutely zip development. Oscar needs to do what's best for his own career and sought out a trade to a club in need of a depth backman who can fill in for a game here and there.

Burgo might not even be there next year by the looks of it.
  3. Poor girl. Graz, it didn't mention in the article, but is she actually from WA?? Would make sense if she was and she wants to be surrounded by family?
  4. I don't think anyone is saying that Oliver will leave this year ET. He's contracted for another year. But, he's clearly disgruntled and not happy within the club. What that reason be, who knows? I'm not in the belief that its over a stupid BnF placing ( though its an utter joke Viney finished higher then him). I just think he's not happy due to the lack of success of the club and he's getting impatient. What's even more concerning is that @Chook in Perth has confirmed that this is clearly the case right now that we have one of the best players this club has seen come through our doors, is not happy. If we have another year of missing finals then I would not be surprised if he requests a trade.
  5. Its out of Essendon and St Kilda for Caldwell. I expect he will go to the saints. There's been absolute no reports or noise that we are interested in Caldwell. He'll pretty much make a decision this coming week now that the saints are out of the finals.
  6. Settle down.. It hasn't been confirmed that is the case. I've known Oliver since his days when we spent time together at the bushies and he is a competitive animal where all he cares about is winning games and having succes. The individual stuff is something that I believe was not part of his love for the game. He's probably getting restless and frustrated with his time at the Dees. In his 5 years at the club he's played finals once. He has every right to feel frustrated at the club.
  7. How Jack Viney finished ahead of him is beyond the joke. Voting system is flawed.
  8. And i got howled down for this exact comment.. Thanks Chook. I am actually not surprised one bit. Have said it before, 2021 looms as the most crucial year in the MFC history if we want to keeps the likes of Oliver and Petracca.
  9. Got the [censored] from 2 clubs as an assistant coach and doesn't come across well articulated on Twitter as well. In fact, he's said some things that makes you shake your head. Good player Greeny, but putting him on the board level just because he is 'red and blue' would be a mistake imo. Get the right and best experienced people around that will take this club forward, not backwards. Only position I'd ever offer him is a goal kicking coach. That's it.
  10. is this not the case anymore??
  11. Didn't say we were 'very very interested ' but more so that we are keeping a close eye on his movements. I see that as we need to rely on a few things to fall our way such as McDonald being traded for a 2nd rounder and Preuss as well.
  12. Where are you @Chook in Perth......
  13. Not sure how I feel about this to be honest..
  14. We'd be crazy not to ask the question regarding Tippa. Imagine him and Pickett up forward? Smith may be a long shot. Wouldn't be surprised of its either Geelong or Collingwood he ends up.
  15. Agree Steve. What i like about this appointment is that he does bring 10 years of coaching experience, a dozen flags and success. He like Gary Pert know what it takes to be a successful club. I know for a fact he had a fantastic relationship with the Hawks players and they loved him. Don't underestimate how big of a loss this is for the Hawks just like when Fagan left them.
  16. You did call this last year @Lord Nev I think Yze was keen on coming to melbourne last year. But hawthorn held him to his deal, which speaks to the regard in which they hold him

It certainly helps. Smith's best mate co business partner in James Frawley is now gone also. This could all lead to a fresh start for Smith.
  18. Has a bit of Brett Ratten Alan Richardson ring to it.....
  19. Its official!!! https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/824053 Oooooozzzeee!!!

Apparently Jon Ralph on the Herald Sun trade chat today mentioned that we are still open to trading Tmac.
  22. Meh. Jumped ship to chase success in our lowest point. Good riddance
  23. Careful.. you'll upset a few on here with that reality...
