@Deespicable that's really disappointing to hear. I'm sorry you had to drive all that way for nothing. I notice on some of the players instagram page like James Harmes who was up the Murray River yesterday and Jackson Viney down the coast meant there was no training on today. I should have put something up on here yesterday. Don't rely too much on the Melbournefc website either because its a waste of time. By far the worse in the league.

I'm sorry but since when is Williams of a sudden a better midfielder then Oliver? Absolutely laughable and actually an insult to Oliver that you've pinned Walsh on even terms with Oliver, but rate Williams above him in midfield ability. Just remember he's made the initial All Australian squad 3x as a midfielder, and won a club best and fairest. And he's only 23.

I personally think it's Viney who upsets our balance. Our midfield I thought looked its best since 2018 when Brayshaw went in and played full time during Viney's injury.

The only ones who have been hyping him are the ones that have been sucked in by the surname without even seeing him play. I mean, there was a reason why he went undrafted and Freo weren't fazed at all when we invited him down to train.. Though I'm still hanging on to @Dannyz word that he's been offered a spot on our list, just pending a right time to announce it..

Brayshaw just spoke on the podcast about Majak. Said he trained with him yesterday and while he's had a few months off AFL training he's got a fair bit of work to do by the sounds of it in terms getting up to standard fitness. Sounds like he was blowing hard a fair bit. Also said that he'll be training for the next 3 weeks.

All good and well to say that clubs can sign players ahead etc. But at the end of the day, the player gets the last say and it would take Daw to verbally say that he wants to join GWS more then anything. At this stage, we were first to give Daw that opportunity and so we get first priority as he has accepted the invitation to train with us.

I'm still seething from his 3 week suspension. He certainly was much better then 2019. From all training reports it seems he's been training really well and hopefully can get back to his 2018 form.

Interesting that there's been some significant injuries or later. Rowan Marshall is set to miss the start of the year with a stress reaction? Braydon Pruess to miss 5 months with a shoulder. Injuries starting to mount at St Kilda.

You will cop some heat for this post above, but I agree wholeheartedly with everything you've said. Watch the likes of Carlton, Doggies and Saints speed right past us this year if not already.

Living in NSW I've really enjoyed the recent training reports. Such a shame and feel for all you Victorians currently going through lockdown.

But I am not saying he's pushing for round 1 now mate.. like all players on the list, no one is guaranteed a round 1 gig unless form warrents that during the pre season games. @Dannyz intel has been really good in the past, so I'm taking his word that Kobe has officially secured a spot on the list, but just waiting for the right time to announce it. If it was confirmed to Farmer last week then is it no coincidence that it's in line with Pickett being away in SA knowing it could be for a longer period of time? Bit that's me just spitballing personally. It's only my own personal opinion 'Bob'. For all we know Pickett could extend his leave further. Does Pickett being away on indefinite leave potentially give Farmer further chance of being on the list? Absolutely it does, you'd be silly not to think. Just like the whole Majak situation has given him a further chance in gaining a spot on our list due to our talls being unavailable come the early rounds. Farmer will earn his spot on the list through sheer hard work, but coaching staff will also take into consideration of Picketts current situation, especially if Kobe's given himself every opportunity to potentially play a NAB game or whatever it's called now. If he's ready to go then it certainly helps fills that void until Pickett is att ease in coming back to Melbourne.

Kozzy went up to SA about 2 weeks ago. It only came last week by Dannyz that it was pretty much a confirmation that Kobe has been offered a spot. Some people on here who have watched training would say that maybe Deakyn Smith was ahead of Farmer. But to Kobe's credit, he too has apparently trained extremely hard, and if he has made the squad, it'll be off the back of hard work. Hearing Richo say that Pickett may not be due back to the club until March means he'll be away from the club for over a month. While I'm sure he'll be training with with WWT in the SANFL he'll still need a few weeks to catch up to AFL fitness. In fact I personally think this puts him in doubt for round 1. I'm sensitive to Pickett's current situation due to my current role working with a lot of indigenous family, and the mourning process can at times extend further after the initial funeral. I'm glad he's getting the right support and me personally hopes he takes all the time in the world before he feels comfortable coming back to Melbourne. If Kobe's training form been strong as documented on here then I'm sure they'll look at him over the trial games etc, and who knows? Maybe he pushes his case for round 1? In saying that though there has been no confirmation at all about Kobe, so it's all speculation.
