  1. No he's not playing because they're are getting him back up to AFL fitness. You need to understand that since October last year when he finished at North Melbourne he's had no AFL to go off and instead has been training suburban level footy. It'll take him a few weeks at least. He's only there for insurance, not to play straight away.
  2. Kade Chandler named in the A team is a fantastic effort.

  4. Unfortunately Dom Tyson was quiet bad. His ball use has gotten far worse. Really feel for the lad as he was a favourite of mine. But he'll be lucky to string 10 games this year. Really sad how much he's diminished over the last few years.
  5. Daw is not fit enough due to only coming back into AFL training load two weeks ago, and will take him a few weeks before he is deemed match fit. Farmer and Smith are highly likely chance to be playing tomorrow.
  6. Watched the saints game live streamed as I had a mate playing. They looked bloody good. Their recruits again are going to big factors for them this. Can easily see them pushing top 4. Jack Higgins was close to BOG and Mason Wood kicked 4. Chip Frawley also played a pretty solid game and looks set to add further strength to their defence. Butler and Higgins are going to create some serious chaos up forward. Their ruthless recruiting for the past two years is paying off.
  7. For anyone that cares..
  8. Brayshaw will be the whipping boy for me. Put him in the same category as the Jack Watts of coasting on talent. Looking at his body shape it has not changed at all since he was drafted. Needs to take a good hard look at himself and ask whether he is happy being a larrikin on a podcast or wants to be an AFL footballer. Maybe he can chat to his mate in Petracca on what hard work means.
  9. I reckon this is Jason Taylor/Recruiters driven for this pick up. We'll be keeping a close eye on him if given senior opportunity. The modern prototype ruckman/forward who's got a incredible leap and strong contested marking for someone so light. When resting up forward he makes an impact with his strong marking and ability to impact the scoreboard. Well worth keeping an eye.
  10. I see there was still no mention of acknowledgement of Josh Mahoney?
  11. Got this off social media.. look where we stand amongst it all.

  13. So.. Nothing new on the old home base front huh. Typical
  14. He'll fill out to be a potential big bodied key forward.
  15. This might explain it a bit more. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/866239/training-gallery-february-22
  16. Lachie Ash is the nephew of Chris Connelly and supported the Dees but jumped ship to Geelong because how terrible we were during the Neeld years.
  17. I remember that question was asked last year at a AGM maybe? One of the fans asked why on earth did we select Pruess especially as the forcast had predicted heavy showers throughout the week. Alan Richardson was given the task of answering the question. When he finished answering I still had no idea why on earth they selected him that game. They tried to deflact with some [censored] excuse.
  18. In fairness rjay I actually didn't mind his training reports as well. In fact, if anything I felt it got better over the last few years. When he started out around the Neeld Roos era it was all fluff. Everyone trained extreme well and no one missed a kick or handball on the day. Other track watchers would have the opposite opinion and that would rile him up as well. I remember 2013 summer I honestly felt like we were destined for top 4 the way his training reports were written. I started to note a shift in his training reports in the last couple of years when he actually became more honest and didn't sugar coat things like he use too. That's all we asked for. When he was honest I actually quite enjoyed reading his reports and found his summaries were far more in depth then previous years. I'm very appreciative of @picket fence and @Deespicable taking the time out to trek out to Casey these days and giving us interstate fans something to read. I hope today's events hasn't turned them of going next week.
  19. One of the most bizarre games I've ever seen by the Dees. 28 points up at 3 qtr time and choked.
  20. Johnstone was well held that night until the last quarter where he was absolutely sublime with some of his forward entries. What we would kill to have someone in the current Melbourne side with that kind of outside skill set.
  21. Surely the 2006 elimination final against the saints us right up there. I remember thinking this game was the making of Brock McLean and we had the next Nathan Buckley on our hands. Nathan Carroll bringing down G-Train which completely turned the game that night also.
  22. He's been called out many of times on here when questioned on certain topics in a reasonable manner regarding club issues. Anyone can volunteer at a club and speak to staff, not hard ( wish I could too if I didn't leave 3 half hours away). He would snap at anyone if they dared to disagree around all issues Melbourne big or small. He's openly confessed that he comes on here to bait people deliberately. So he gives as good as he gets. Around the Brad Green matter? I've either missed the replied response or haven't recieved a notification. Bit like the Kobe Farmer one? Didn't get a response back from you either, or the the other thread around potential draftees I would have rather invited instead of Farmer. I still stand by that I don't believe he should be on our board. But when you have someone like Glen Bartlett running the joint I'm not one bit surprised. I currently have 0 confident in current administration moving forward. P.s I know you like to follow me around like a cat lately and nitpick any negative response i may write. So not sure what your problem is .
