Garry Lyon on OTC gave a really moving opening about the game. Definitely worth a watch.

He's a midfielder who plays wing and half back. Started playing senior football in the NTFL in Darwin for Waratahs as a 16 year old and recieved a rising star nomination. He made the Allies state squad for this year but obviously that's been impacted by Covid. I haven't obviously seen his play in the flesh but one of the boys I work with through the Murray Bushrangers and a family friend of ours in Ryan Eyres was also selected in the Allies squad with him so I might hit him up for some information.

No not really, and it doesn't work that way. Nick Daicos got an invite when he's pretty much already with Collingwood already. It's just mean Taj hasn't got that much interest really.

So to get an invite to the national combine you need a total of 5 AFL clubs to nominate interest. It's no harm whatsoever in Taj not getting an invite. So many gun players have carved our significant AFL careers by not attending the draft combine. He'll most likely attend the state combined.

Well it's finals time. I'm really torn on this to be honest. Jake Lever mentioned he's been BOG in 2 out of the last 3 practise games the past few weeks. A part of me thinks we should just have him as the medical sub for the finals, but unfortunate it's looking pretty bleak that he gets a chance. I know some aren't into fairytales but surely for a guy that's been through the absolute darkest of days deserve to at least start as a sub? The other aspect is that unfortunately on form alone, there is no one really in the team you could drop for Jones.

I think I feel a bit more for Jayden Hunt more then anyone. In 2018 we were three weeks from playing finals and he damages his ankle against Sydney which ruled him out of the finals campaign. Plays all year this year and a big contributor towards our success and yet hurts his ankle 3 weeks ago again, and in serious doubt not play finals. Hunt has been at this football club since the rebuild took place when Paul Roos came on board. I like Steven May, but I'm hurting more for Jayden Hunt.

AFL got sold a lemon with this one. Got sucked right in. And to think Adelaide are pushing their case for a GF gig when they won't even put it up to 50% capacity for its first final.

This is what 14,750k looks like at the Adelaide Derby match only 2 weeks ago. There is no guarantee we'll even reach that capacity given we are playing an interstate team. Playing a qualifying final in that does not sit well with me at all.

Yep and to think there been talk of Adelaide putting in a good case for a grand final is just rubbish. I'm being very picky and stubborn here but right now we should be playing in front of a packed 90k crowd at the G. In a year where for the first time since 1964 look genuine premiership contenders home qualifying final, and yet instead we have to turn out to a pathetic crowd of just 15k? [censored] ropeable.
