  1. I would have had Chandler in. Very stiff to miss out. I look at that side on paper and don't see any different to last year.. hope I'm wrong, but I'm worried this has 2019 round 1 all over again.
  2. Chandler or Baker
  3. Look who you're replying too. That'll answer your question.
  4. They don't televise practice games.
  5. Because I genuinely thought after that year we were going to be a powerhouse club. How wrong was I...
  6. Some players are naturally born with it, and some need actual training and education around this. Colin Sylvia and Jack Watts are two that spring to mind straight away.
  7. The last bloke that did that for us was Tom Bugg and we hung him out to dry for the rest of his career and barely played a game. Vince, Lewis and Bugg brought that physical edge to our side and have lacked it since those guys have left unfortunately.
  8. There's a bloke on Fox who I enjoy listening to as well. I think his name is Adam Papalia??
  9. Agree. Funny without naming names, its the same usual hindsight hero's who've come out of the woodwork once again on this thread. The same individuals that also wanted him delisted....
  10. This needs to pinned on this thread. Well said.
  11. One of the best things about watching the AFLW games is the brilliant commentary by Jason Bennett and Nigel Carmody? Why these guys in prime time is beyond me. More of these guys and less BT.
  12. Haha McKay can't convert, but yet Weideman missed a simple goal 25m dead in front against Adelaide to win us the game.. You say it's poor list management we delisted McDonald and now you're saying Weideman is better then McKay?? You really are a Doozy.. McKay is everything I wish Weideman was at. Weideman has done nothing since that Geelong game. That's nearly 3 years ago now..
  13. Plays the role exceptionally well. There was a reason he was named in the All Australian squad in just his 3rd year of AFL footy. I expect him to go close this year going by his pre season form. The only slight adjustment I'd personally make to our backline is I'd have Harrison Petty instead of Tomlinson. Now there's a kid who's got enormous potential.
  14. Haha rightio...
  15. Oh for goodness sake Farmer are you really that delusional? The 2018 finals means absolutely 0 to me after what we've dished up the past 2 years. Funny how you didn't mention the prelim when Oscar and Frost got absolutely towelled up by the WC forwards that in turn it forced the club to go out and get a ready made key defender because they knew as a coaching staff our defence was never going to hold up with those guys down back. Our defence is the best its looked in years. The coaching staff knew what they were doing on this part.
  16. Even as a developing young tall like a Kaine Baldwin who was just picked up by Essendon. It's not like Brown is going to play many games at all this year even with a depleted forward line. Having a young tall in his position developing at Casey means we slowly faze out Tom McDonald next year when Brown and Weideman are up and going but also physically ready if either go down again.
  17. Look old timer, I suggest you take the Rose coloured glasses off and take a hike. We've been a average [censored] club since 2006 because of having average footballers on our list like Oscar running around for far too long. It's [censored] like you that are happy accepting mediocrity for so long.
  18. While I think he was one of the worst footballers I've seen in red and blue, I'm glad he got himself another opportunity. Has always been a hard worker. Though people have short memories. I remember back in 2019 where Goodwin started him forward against Collingwood to zero effect, and then last year against Sydney when he got shifted forward because he was absolute diabolical down back and again was just as worse. He's a handy depth for Carlton and once they get there forward structure working, he's out.
  19. Interesting choice of sub. Not the fact it's Oscar but that they're going with a slow tall. Coaching staff must not have faith in their current talls getting through.
  20. dazzledavey36 replied to Lord Nev's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
He's cooked. I think he'll faze out of the team Bernie Vince style.
  21. Since when is Darcy a threat up for?
  22. Good decision. Hibberd only played 3 quarters on the weekend after missing majority of this pre season.
