CHANGES: Rd 06 vs Richmond
If Fritta and May come in then how does Weid get a spot? I watched Weideman on the weekend and he looked fit and ready to go. Whereas Brown I'd give another week. Having Weideman down Forward has the potential to really release Fritta and Jackson.

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 01 vs Box Hill Hawks
Let's recommence this discussion when the season ends with list changes occurring. I would like to think I have an okay eye for talent when I see one, (have got some wrong over the journey) but I see absolutely nothing to suggest he'll make it. Just remember one thing.. Gawn, Jackson, Weideman, Ben Brown, Daw and Tom McDonald. Good luck to him trying get ahead of these guys in the next couple of years.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Yeah nah no need to try and change the narrative to suit your agenda. Don't bring past contexts into this otherwise I'll dig up some of your shockers you've had over the journey. Keep it on the current topic.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Getting in another two first rounders in Bowey and Laurie might also prove similar outcomes. Saw great signs in Bowey on the weekend to suggest he can play some AFL games this year and make an impact. His first VFL game debut he had 23 disposals. Good signs ahead.

How about you quote them on here and I'll quote the ones that actually disagree with you..

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 01 vs Box Hill Hawks
You're completely missing my point. I stated that at 19 years of age both Cox and Gawn had started playing AFL games because they'd already shown AFL traits to be considered AFL selection. Bradke is 21 next month and shown next to nothing that he has some AFL ability. At best he's a suburban standard player. Watching him closely on the weekend just proves my point. I understand the point that ruckman do take time and when you watch them at VFL level you want to see glimpses and walk away thinking that of given opportunity they can certainly make it. I had that with Gawn, Stefan Martin and Darren Jolly when he was starting out. They all had strengths that stood out and could certainly tell that it would translate into AFL footy if an opportunity was there. I don't see that at all with Bradtke. My point also is that Bradke has had 3 years on the list now and he's barely put on any weight nor has he improved as a player. At this stage of his development he should be playing the number 1 ruck role down at Casey instead of Daw. But obviously his form hasn't been strong enough to take that next step. Unless Bradke shows considerable improvement I can't see how he remains on the list.

Dean Cox was picked up as an 18 year old and debuted as a 19 year old. Max Gawn was the same, he debuted as a 19 year old. Lets not get in way of a good fact there. These guys had already showed by that age the glimpse and capabilities as ruckman to be playing senior football at that age. Bradke is about to hit 21 and did not show anything remotely on the weekend that had a hint of AFL ability in him. He was pushed off the ball far too easily on the weekend and just hates body contact. You can use the whole wait until he's 24 etc etc.. but these guys were already showing genuine AFL traits by 21, but still with a lot of development to go. In the 3 years of being in the system he's barely been on any size or muscle. Luke Jackson did it in one summer I have far more greater interest in Mac Andrew in the Dandenong Stingrays then I do with Bradke. It's glaring that on face value his physical development is still where it was when he was first picked up. On the weekend he was completely out bodied and pushed under the ball far too easily. I can tell you right now that as a current qualified PT you can still put on size and build your core up at the same time. Just like Luke Jackson did over the summer. I watched him at times out body McEvoy around the ruck contests on the weekend and it was fantastic to watch. Bradke is light years away at competing at AFL level. Not sure why you named Martin and Jamar? They were both physically and naturally big boys by the age of 21. Jamar had played 20 games and Martin had debut at that age and was playing CHB. At one stage he played on Matthew Lloyd in his first year. There are no comparisons there.

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 01 vs Box Hill Hawks
He's 21 next month mate.. He's had 3 years on the list and looks like he's barely put on any weight. Catching up to Max King and Lochie Fillapovic as one of the worst players I've seen. Will be delisted at years end.

Robbo
Yep. He's gotten worse over the past couple of years. People make jokes about him being a drunk etc, but he's certainly got some serious stuttering going on.

CHANGES: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Ha.. Simon Goodwin was nothing but praise for McDonald in his post match conference. Tough calls is not dropping a bloke who had 22 disposals 10 marks and kicked 2.2. He won't be dropped and Goodwin will agree with me on this one.

Do you trust Melbourne
Absolutely at this minute I do. Was not worried at 3qtr time. Was waiting for us to really put our foot down which we did.

Deakyn Smith putting on an impressive performance so far. Had 10 disposals in that first half and uses the footy beautifully.

Weideman is ready for an AFL call up imo.

Here we go.. Bit like your thread how we made a mistake giving up a first rounder on Pickett? Funny how you've gone quiet on that.

Welcome to Demonland: Trent Rivers
Interesting we rated Ryan Sparkes at Pick 36 ahead of some kids who were were drafted 1st and 2nd round draft. Ryan Sparks is currently on the Casey Demons VFL list.

Clayton Oliver Re-Signs Until 2023
That was Sam McClure's gripe also. To be honest I understand why people would feel this way. Oliver still has a lot of maturing to do, and I think in the next couple of years we'll really start to see him become more level headed and wiser as he continues to grow as a young man. This is where Mark Williams will have a profound impact on him. Still a young lad just working his way through the system.

Clayton Oliver Re-Signs Until 2023
Nothing wrong with what Sam McClure. Happens with a lot of players that doesn't get reported to the media. Take Zac Marrett for instance, he toured our facilities and met up with Simon Goodwin. A trade was never going to eventuate, but just shows how interested we were in him. Not surprised that it's still the case.
