All the best Majak. Certainly a real pioneer for Sudanese kids starting out in the AFL. All the best in your future and beyond.
  2. Maybe he's genuinely torn between being closer to his Family or being with his mates down here. I honestly don't think money is a factor in this.
  3. Jeez you're hard task marker Nev. If you're judging key forwards on effective disposal as main key criteria then I must be doing it all wrong. Currently working part time in the development league club and I know the coaching staff and AFL recruiters value far more bigger key stat indicators for young developing key forwards such as work rate being the top priority, and the number of contest they're able to get to and from. Coaches will absolutely put a premium on that if your work rate is high the goals will eventually come. I've seen a big Improvement in his work rate and I think eventually the goals will come. Prior to the Pies game I thought his work rate had been poor and hadn't McDonald not been injured I reckon he was close to being dropped.
  4. I think it was still a good indication that he had 2 early shots on goal in the first quarter. The 4 marks in the first quarter alone and 7 disposal still a great starting point which is why I think he was certainly busy in that quarter alone. Finished with 1.3 for the night which to me looks like he's slowly getting back into the groove of hopefully hitting the scoreboard better in the next few week. 2 weeks in a row now he's had 4 shots on goal in each. His form is reminding me of last year when he came back into the side. Just slowly starting to get back into the swing of things.
  5. I'm still waiting for Brayden Maynard a 'certainty' to be playing for Melbourne in 2022 according to Brad Hardie last year..
  6. 7 disposal, 4 marks and yes 2 scoring shots is certainly busy first quarter for a key forward in my eyes. And in fairness those 2 scoring shots were from difficult angles. But yes, faded as the game went on. But i think Harris Andrew really tightened up because he was certainly playing far too loose in that first quarter.

Got bored. So I went and searched some mean Byron classics..

Was nervous this was an injury thread.. Let's not be surprised or Picketts intent hurt people when he tackles. I mean, he's uncle is Byron Pickett lol
  10. I wasn't at the game but saw the bump and heard the umpire telling both Rayner and Pickett off in the background while play was continuing on lol.
  11. I like when Essendon lose.
  12. Random observation but I kept a keen on Deven Robertson knowing that we were fairly interested in his in the 2019 draft. We were obviously desperate to pick him in the draft had he drifted out to the Trent Rivers pick and imo it would have been a giant steal at the time. Larke Medallist and there were comparisons to Joel Selwood. On his performance last night I was so disappointed in what I saw. In fact he looked like a genuine plodder and only had the 8 disposal as an on baller. In fact, looking at his overall career stats it seems like he hasn't really cemented a spot in the senior side and has had some underwhelming numbers.
  13. Insulting that he got out marked by a 24 year old, 118 game veteran and All Australian midfielder? I think your post towards Bowey regarding this is far more insulting.
  14. No change for me. But I can see why Bowey could be a potential omission for Rivers is need.
  15. Wowee that was fun to watch.
  16. Bedford!
  17. Bedford, Pickett, ANB and Spargo is our best forward mix of smalls moving forward. All immense tonight with their pressure.
  18. This is fun
  19. ANB has had a 5 minute patch of pure ****ness
  20. This is some performance. His role as a number 1 ruckman tonight has been nothing short of super tonight. Gets rag dolled at times during ba ups but that's a non issue for me considering how young he is against a much bigger opponent.
  21. No coincidence Lever has played the best half all year now that May is back. Jackson is doing a fantastic job competing. He's getting rag dolled for strength at times but hos follow up forward and tackling intensity is elite. Viney really got us going that quarter alongside Petracca and Oliver. Benny Brown unlucky not to have 3 goals on board.
  22. Best quarter we've played all year. 2 more to go lads..!
  23. My boy Bedford!!
  24. Agree wholeheartedly. I have read her articles over the journey about the footy which I've disagreed with. Doesn't mean I can't stand her as a Journo. He recent article of the Cyril Rioli saga was sad from a story perspective, but brilliantly written.
