Weid or Rooy?
Bugger. Wasn't aware of that.

CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Personally reckon he's been poor all year.

CASEY: Rd 16 vs Geelong
This is his last month of footy from a stats wise. Don't know how much more he can do to put his hand up.

2022 Injury List
I'm not entirely sure if I'm correct here, but the feeling I get is that you don't like the Geelong Football Club?

Taylor Walker
Oh for [censored] sake.

Weid or Rooy?
I definitely think we need another experienced tall, but is there anyone out there that's available and out of contract? I do love Mitch Lewis from the Hawks but he doesn't come out of contract until 2023.

Weid or Rooy?
Another genuine key forward in the draft is a must to partner up with Van Rooyen over the next few years. If we aren't able to secure one early on the draft then Fletcher Hart who I've done some work with through the Murray Bushrangers would be someone I would be targeting in the mid to later on in the draft. 200cm 96kg key forward who is currently playing for the Allies in the under 18's championships. Put on a stack of kilos in the off season which resulted in him being able to outsize his opponents more often. Good contested mark who has good work rate. Was extremely close to being picked up in the mid season draft.

Weid or Rooy?
The Giants have tried this in the past with little to no success. Not only is he not a good mark of the footy I personally think he's cooked in general. He can barely turn now since that knee injury.

In Season - Loading/Periodisation: Put your conjecture here.
Exactly the way I saw it. Hearing Dangerfield say yesterday that they have pretty much set themselves up for this game all year just reinforces that they simply played a much physical and disciplined game then we did. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to actually acknowledge the better team won on the night. Kudos to the cats.

Honestly think we lost because the opposition simply were better then us on the night.... Is this whole 'loading' narrative an easy excuse everytime we lose?

The Run Home
Port are a completely different side to what we faced earlier on the year. They're in good form and will see this as their scalp. Drop this game and top 4 could be looking on edge.

- Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
I'll easily cop Jackson leaving to be honest, but I think Gus leaving would hurt deeply then ever. Not so much front an on field perspective but off field in terms of culture and setting the standards. Gus is one of our leaders who typify's that team first attitude. Please sign Gus....- NON-MFC: Round 17, 2022
I was cheering like a bloody supporter! Well done Suns! Jack Riewoldt, coo that you [censored] sook!- Farewell Luke Jackson
To be honest I don't even recall the Oliver comment coming from you?- CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide

And trust me, I honestly thought we would have kept Weid in for the Geelong game. I was only a few that thought he actually battled well against Adelaide. You could even say that performance alone was far better output then what Jackson dished up last night. I was a bit worried going into the game with one genuine key forward and unfortunately it panned out the way I thought it would. That set up does work at all and I watched tonight's game closely to see the response and I was disappointed. Maybe he's now at a point where his confidence is completely shot from just being in and out of the team.- CASEY: Rd 16 vs Geelong
Bro relax, we won.- CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
I'll reply to your second point. It'll be far worse having your team rely on a forward line that has your VFL depth forward in Weideman as your main key forward alongside a 1st game as your second key tall. That's just a recipe for disaster especially coming up against an All Australian defender in Alir Alir who'll eat Weid alive. If you're going to debut JVR it has to be when a senior experienced key forward such as Ben Brown is there for the physical support and also take the pressure off him. On your first point, Browns first half was exceptional. Had 5 marks to half time and looked like he was set for a big half until we decided to just constantly bomb it down the line on his head. Not even plugger Lockett could have mark anything with that delivery. On Weideman's performance tonight. I Watched the game from start to finish and kept a close eye hoping he'd play well. He was a major disappointment. Poor body language, got beaten comprehensively by Geelong's Angus Byrne who not only out outmarked him at times but defended really well. As you've said in the past, Weideman is only depth and and should only be playing AFL footy if either Brown or Jackson go down with injury. He's been given opportunities to perform this year and has failed to grab those with both hands.- CHANGES: Rd 18 vs Port Adelaide
Dropping Ben Brown for Weid off the back off Weids pretty poor performance tonight? Laughable.- CASEY: Rd 16 vs Geelong
Jesus that was some performance by Bailey Laurie. I've never seen a kid that young just so ridiculously clean and handle the ball like it was dry weather. Honestly would drop Spargo for Bailey. His work rate also was extremely high. We certainly have a good one here.. JVR took 6 contested marks in one of the wettest and shocking conditions you'll see at Geelong. Calling it now but the kid will be a star at AFL level. Thought Dunstan was really exceptional. He obviously comes straight in for Oliver next week. Sparrow considers himself very lucky there...- Farewell Luke Jackson
Jesus Jaded this is seriously very unlike of you.. We need to cool the jets yeah? This whole media circus about him nominating Freo has come from one bloke only and that's Jon Ralph. For now lets chill out until official confirmation, meanwhile let's continue to support Jacko while he's playing in the red and blue yeah?- Farewell Luke Jackson
He also said Luke Dunstan had met with dees well before it came out in the media last year and was a certainty to sign. He's had more right then wrong and has great links through his friend through player management.- Farewell Luke Jackson
So yeah.. that's incredibly bizarre and this type of scenario has never ever happened in AFL trade history and it certainly won't happened with Jackson. Again, once they've nominated a club, they're getting there. To technically get picked up by North he has to physically sign a contract. He would never in a million years play for another Melbourne club via a PSD draft. Why does everyone think Melbourne will be this complete badass come trade time lol. We've never operated this way and have built incredibly strong relationships with other clubs during trade time due to our professional style in getting deals done without any issues. - Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
