  1. Nate Caddy is an interesting prospect isn't he? Probably on the shorter side of a traditional KPF height but a lot of his playing style reminds me so much of Charlie Curnow. Totally wouldn't be against selecting him as I think he's scope of potential is huge. One name that will be worth keeping an eye on will be Koltyn Tholstrup from Subiaco. 188cm half forward with genuine X factor and speed with potential to becoming an inside mid as hes a bit of a contested nut at ground level as well. He's just played his first senior game in the WAFL and by all reports acquitted himself quite well. @Pennant St Dee will have better insight being a WA lad.
  2. No I haven't mate, but that's only because he's played the 1 game this year in round 1 and that was against the Murray Bushrangers which was down in Morwell. I was talking to some of the lads the week after as they were there coaching and they said the 2 absolute standouts were Zane Duursma and Archer Reid. Reid took 9 marks for the day which 4 were contested and kicked 3.1. He also played 12 games last year as a bottom age and kicked 16 goals. He's style is a lead up CHF who can really work up and down the ground and is pretty clean below his knees for a tall KPF. He would actually compliment JVR as he is more a stay at home power forward compared to Reid. He's personally not my first choice of selection inside top 10, but that's mainly me thinking that more of a need to top up with elite midfield talent instead.
  3. Archer Reid. 203cm tall forward currently playing for Gippsland Power in thr Coates leagues. Huge work rate who likes to get up the ground and be a long target option. Daniel Curtin is a 197cm defender/forward from Claremont. They're two of the best KPF's alongside Gold Coast Academy Jed Walter (An absolute beast) who should feature inside top 10.
  4. It's the time slot that's been allocated by the AFL. The broadcasting (channel 7) go off the agreement contract of what their time slot arrangements is from the AFL. Friday and Thursday night games, a Saturday night game and then the Sunday afternoon are pretty much 7's locked timeslot. Channel 7 have never had a 4:10 Saturday twilight game time slot in place, ever. Fox have always covered this one as well as the Sunday twilight with St Kilda and Collingwood. It'd not as easy as just "changing cables" purely because this would have been the contract that would have been agreed on when the fixture came out as @Bring-Back-Powell was getting at.
  5. Can you provide an example where the AFL has changed the time of the game during the week purely to suit the broadcasting channel??
  6. Good god do you ever take the time to go over your response before hitting send? Not only has the point completely over your head by a fair margin but you've just followed up with complete dribble. Have another go.
  7. I'd give him a good month at Casey to really build himself up again. Last year we rushed him him and he was never himself.
  8. In fairness to JL, Goody isn't far behind him. Press conferences are usually a snore fest. Only difference is Goody can actually Coach and has the medallion to back that up. His persona is definitely different when he's game day coach which is a strength of Goody.
  9. Curtin played forward? Generally thought he was a defender?
  10. Not sure why some feel the need to smash the absolute [censored] out of somewhere else on here simply because the opinions on a player differs. There was a fair few smashing Viney last week on the game day thread and post game thread for playing a poor game. Some of the discussion was justified imo as I too also felt he had a poor game against Sydney. I look at someone like James Jordon and thought he was far more influential then Viney and yet we know who was relegated to the sub role. He was better this week in terms of intensity and physicality, but his ball use use and wanting to do too much still worries me.
  11. Not at all. We were genuinely poor that was hit with a significant injury list from.day 1 of pre season right up to the last game of the round.
  12. We didn't trade up to get LJ.
  13. Good point. Like this too.
  14. Don't underestimate this goal. The clean pick up in [censored] conditions and then ability to just casually snap it around the corner.
  15. Goody said that Hibberd is the only concern from the match with an Achilles injury.
  16. Tom McDonald certainly needs to play well because Schache will be breathing down his neck. Matthew Jefferson Co tinges to surprise with his talent. On his way to 40 goal season if he keeps his form up throughout the year. Will have similar development year to JVR.
  17. Is this game televised ?
  18. Um because it didn't make the distance..
  19. Nah. You look like a complete [censored] out of this. A quick google search would tell you exactly what you need.
  20. If you base form on this year purely between Jordon and Sparrow considering they play the exact same role then even in the single game he's played, Jordon's output far out weighs the underwhelming performances Sparrow has dished up so far. It's not just this year alone but even going off last year's form where he was again, underwhelming for the year.
