  1. Really hope Osker Baker lines up on a wing. Watching Langdon and Hunter completely blow him up in the first quarter will be sweet to watch as endurance was never a strength of his.
  2. Watched the replay again this morning just to make sure my observation was still on par with how how I felt watching it yesterday 1. Steven May is on his way to a 3rd All Australian off the back of the last 2 games. He's a giant down back. Looks incredibly fit. 2. Jake Bowey is now a seriously good player and opposition clubs will start putting time into him. He reads the play so well off half back and isn't afraid to drift across and take an intercept mark. He'd best 22, and an important one now. 3. I thought ANB work rate was first class. Liked him playing in the midfield and didn't seem so rushed and hesitant as he has been in the past. His ability to put work his opponents through his sheer running power will come in handy as teams start to run out of gas towards the end of the year. 4. Petty looks fit and significantly bigger in size. Got outmarked towards the end by a no name. But i put that down to Samson probably not being on their list of players to watch whilst reviewing for this week's game. I think he just caught Petty off guard. 5. McVee was surprisingly not overawed by manning one of the greatest players we've seen this decade in Dusty. Kept his composure and thought he halved a few contests well. Coaches would have been wrapped with his performance. 6. The Gawn Grundy combo certainly overawed their rucks and defence. I know I've had my concerns with how this combination would work but fair to say it was a success yesterday. Grundy is still on managed minutes due to his huge lay off from injury while Gawn looked imposing and strong up forward. Grundy has a history of smashing Tim English so will be interesting to see how this goes against the dogs. 7. I thought Laurie was disappointing. Saw nothing that says he's close to being AFL ready. Concerning for me. 8. Ben Brown still worries defenders and that was justified when he was getting all those free kicks. He'll still get the 1st or 2nd best defender which then means this could release Gawn/Grundy to have significant impact up forward. 9. Woewodin came on an made an impact straight away. Did not once look overawed and I have no doubt this puts him right in thr frame for an early senior debut. Showed more in 1 quarter then what Laurie did for the 3. Its potentially exciting that we could have a Woewodin running around on the G again. 10. We looked 2 levels above Richmond and this was without Salem, Fritsch Viney which is genuinely exciting and scary. So pumped for the season ahead if we can stay fit.
  3. Dogs looked good today. Their defence has dramatically improved with the inclusion of Jones.
  4. Mind you Sampson had played 3 quarters in the earlier game.
  5. Richmond website has a full VFL report up already whilst ours provides zero updates throughout the day or a report. Stock standard.
  6. Is JVR, Woey and Laurie confirming to play or did they play the earlier game??
  7. If it happened it would be picked up by cameras and blokes would be getting rubbed out. Simple really.... It doesn't happen because no one is going out there deliberately stomping on other players foot. To think that the club won't release information regarding Bayleys foot because it might instigate opposition players deliberately stepping on his foot is plain laughable. My last comment on this. It's game day mode for me now.
  8. Please.. This isn't the 80's. Lots of AFL players play with sore ankles and not once have I seen an incident where a player has deliberately stomped on their foot simply to exploit them.
  9. Yeah nah, that's a cop out. Going off this reckoning that means we just simply dont update an injury list all season? Also, explain how they're able to exploit him from a stomped foot? It's not hard to update fans. Bayley Fritsch - Ankle 2-3 weeks. Easy done. Not sure if you have realised but this is a game of footy? Like there is an element of physicality about this sport? You honestly think the likes of Steven May and Jack Viney at times don't go out there to deliberately hurt blokes? C'mon.. lol
  10. Who knows. MFC website barely ever updates fans on the injury front.
  11. I'm really bullish on Woey. Watched his game closely last week and he was strong playing as an inside midfielder. Got it on the outside a couple of times and used the footy well.
  12. Can someone get over the paywall?
  13. It would be Jeff Farmer devastated levels for me if he left.
  14. Pay kozzie whatever he wants. Yes, he really is that good and worth it alone on marketing for our junior supporters. Never have I had such an emotional attachment to a player since Liam Jurrah and Jeff Farmer.
  15. Annoying that media gets hold of this before the club even releases anything official.
  16. Didn't Brisbane change their recruiting strategy to drafting Vic Country lads to minimise the player exodus at one stage? I mean they legitimately trying this with Kozzie as we speak with Liam Henry lol. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.zerohanger.com/fremantle-forward-liam-henry-linked-to-melbourne-amid-kysaiah-pickett-trade-speculation-132578/amp/ Melbourne reportedly have a young Fremantle forward on their radar as they plan to satisfy and re-sign off-contract star Kysaiah Pickett According to The Herald Sun, Fremantle are also tipped to have Pickett in mind for their off-season planning, however it could be a Dockers forward that ends up swapping clubs amid the rumours surrounding Pickett's future. The publication's report suggests the Demons could place some attention toward a move for Dockers forward Liam Henry, a close friend of Pickett's. After losing Toby Bedford to GWS last year, Melbourne may see Henry as a viable option to add to their forward stocks in a bid to not only bolster their attack, but help keep Pickett in the red and blue.
  17. Mate, no one has ever said that?? Nor did I say any journalist were quoted as saying so.. All that is being said is the strong Port Adelaide interest in Pickett and not just from Cornes. Here's a few snippets. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/09/16/thats-where-the-odds-say-he-will-be-edmund-gives-his-verdict-on-picketts/ SEN’s Chief Sports Reporter Sam Edmund doesn’t think Port Adelaide will be successful in its pursuit of Kysaiah Pickett. Edmund broke the news earlier this week that Port was exploring the possibility of trading for Pickett over the upcoming trade period. “Port are trying, absolutely trying,” Edmund said on SEN's The Picks. “I think he’ll stay at Melbourne (though), I think, that’s where the odds say he will be in because he’s contracted for one more year and I can't in any way, shape or form see Melbourne wanting him to go and sanctioning a trade. “I think it would take something significant, Kozzie would have to put in a trade request and at this stage, that is not happening,” Edmund continued. https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/09/20/cashed-up-power-to-continue-pickett-pursuit-after-disappointing-dunkley-snub/ Port Adelaide will continue to aggressively pursue Melbourne’s Kysaiah Pickett despite his contract status according to SEN’s Michelangelo Rucci. While reports have suggested that Pickett is excited about his Melbourne future, Rucci says that they’ll continue to ask the question in hopes that the small forward requests a trade this off-season Port’s definitely there, they’re asking the question quite often,” Rucci said on SEN SA Breakfast. “Kysaiah is contracted at Melbourne next year, not that contracts mean much at this time of year. “The real question there is, how much does Kysaiah want to accept what Port Adelaide put in front of him? “Then it’d be going to Melbourne and saying, ‘Well, I want to go home’. “Port might be in for the long game, but if you don’t ask, you’ll never get anywhere. “They’re definitely keen to get Kysaiah Pickett to Alberton, there’s no doubt about that at all.”
  18. They also have some exciting depth coming through in this department. Neil Erasmus 190cm big bodied inside mid. Plays similar to Elliot Yeo. Nathan O' Driscoll 188cm midfielder who also plays half back if need. Matthew Johnson 192cm tall inside/outside midfielder who's very similar to David Mundy.
  19. Go back to October. If you want links, then sure. It was well reported by several journo's and media outlets that the Port Adelaide pursuit was real but were also well aware that he was contracted for another 12 months so the chances of him leaving was very low. Didn't stop Port from asking the question though which their well within their rights and certainly hasn't stop Port now going full assult this year. Why? Because he's an absolute star player and marketing dream for junior supporters. It be silly for clubs to at least not ask the question. Not entirely sure why people are getting so sensitive about this whole Port Adelaide interest thing lol.. Take off the red and blue glasses. We did the exact same thing to Ed Langdon 12 months prior when he was contracted still at Freo. Welcome to the landscape of player movement.
