Makes sense why Joel Smith is training as a defender. -

No goody today.. -
I would be very surprised. He's not that good and I'd much prefer we put time into our back up wingers in Woewodin and Howes.

This is groundhog day right?

Well actually it was @Sideshow Bob who provided the correct information. Maybe he needs the apology? -

It's this week. -
Really? I would thought the guy with finals experience, premiership player and all around better player made more sense.. Bedford as a sub makes zero sense imo. Whilst you say he's played a little bit of mid at Casey, he has not once been used in that position at AFL and nor will he be given an opportunity especially pressure cooker of finals. And as for having experience of coming on as a sub. Well he's started off as sub in 12 games this and has only ever come on mid way in only 2 games. Would you say that's actually experience enough? Between the two, Bowey offers more versatility as he was an elite junior prospect playing as a midfield/half forward. Not that they will use him in that position anyway if he was to be a sub and come on. 3 players stick out for me as sub options and they are Adam Tomlinson, Joel Smith and Luke Dunstan.

List management - this year's tricky decisions
dazzledavey36 replied to Deespicable's topic in Melbourne Demons
@Deespicable I think you make some really good points and i do agree with most. But just to clarify, both Joel Smith and Deakyn Smith have signed new deals for next year so you can scrap them off the list. The other thing, I will be extremely disappointed in our list management team if the first rounder we receive from Jackson goes immediately to Collingwood for Grundy. Simply, we don't win out of the deal at all. -
Hasn't logged on here since November of 2021.

Here we go..

Gone. Won't play again this season.

Thanks Sandra Sully. just kidding..... 😉

If they want to go for a mature age depth then I'd certainly be looking at Lewis Melican from Sydney if Tomlinson decides to go. Turner has the potential to step up down back if they decide to trial Harry Petty up forward next year.

Not exactly sure that's in Weid's DNA...

It's not the brand that gets them players it's more lifestyle then anything. It's a country type environment compared to the big city lights of Melbourne. Don't underestimate how many players now days would rather this lifestyle more then anything. A huge key part why they were able to recruit Jeremy Cameron. Then it's their recruiting of guys like Stengle and Tom Stewart out of nowhere which also annoys me. Stephen Wells still has an eye for a talent and he's able to top the list in with players that can come in and make a genuine impact immediately.

Oh Weideman...... 🤦♂️

Bedford is simply not clea enough. Few times today he could have been out but yet he just fumbles too often.

Woewodin is killing it so far
