Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
If our recruiting team continue on with this mindset then why bother ever drafting a key forward again? Gotta back JT's team in that eventually we'll actually recruit a future key forward who'll go and play a 10 year career for the Dees. Remember it also comes down to our development and coaching team. At the end of the day it's up to them to develop the player. The recruitment team just picks them. I'm personally not a fan of Jefferson myself but that shouldn't stop us looking at other options like a Phoenix Foster or Harry Lemmey who I rate much the Jefferson.

Brayden George
We're definitely putting some time and work into George from a due diligence point of view. From what I've been told from MB officials, clubs looking at George have assured him that the focus is on having a 10- 12 year career and not trying to impact from day 1 of pre season. Focus and expectations will be in getting his knee right and soaking up the education and professionalism of AFL football. I believe clubs like Sydney and Melbourne would be the perfect fit for George in this instance. He's Wangaratta lad who's a powerful footballer with enormous amount upside. Played majority forward this year and dominated with his power and strength. He doesn't win a lot of thr footy as of yet but he doesn't need to with his hurt factor and damage up forward. The goal for him would be to transition slowly into a midfield role like Petracca has dome over his career.

One of the reason why I'm not keen on Jefferson as well. Even at under 18's level he was still getting pushed put of the way too easily in contests. Yeah rightio. This makes sense now. I remember reading a big write up at the start of the year how he was going to be the number 1 key forward in this year's draft well before Cadman was ever discussed. Some fall from grace.

Yeah maybe. I just don't rate Jefferson all that highly at all. Yet all information seem to lead us to taking him of available.

Wonder if Harry Lemmey may come under some consideration for our pick 13? 199cm goal kicking key forward from West Adelaide who at the start of the year he was tipped to be a top 10 prospect. Has played at senior level, reserves and under18's where he's had impact in all three grades Showed his versatility (which our recruiters love) this year by playing down back at times and doing quiet well at times with his marking and foot skills.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Which is surprising for me. There must be more to it in terms of off field because he's a top 10 prospect on talent alone.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I think our best is to move up into that 8-10 mark. Wouldn't be surprised though if we do get a slider come pick 13 and hopefully grab a bargain.

Reckon he'll get snapped up pretty quickly by either Geelong or Carlton before our pick unfortunately.

2022 Player Reviews: #23 James Jordon
In my opinion I reckon he's played some of his best football when he played as an inside midfielder like he did in 2021. His tackling and intensity around the stoppages was pretty impressive at the time. I think getting Hunter means Jordon goes back to playing this role similar to 2021.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Yes because providing a random picture walking alongside Andrew Brayshaw is exactly what all us Melbourne supporters want to see.. It's like showing me a picture of my ex misso alongside her new fella. Move on.

We were linked to Laurie, Oliver, Jackson, Pickett off the top of my head in Cal Twomey's phantom drafts. I know some say we don't let on who we're selecting reality is we actually have a very fair idea who we may select. Twomey is extremely respected amongst Recruiters and player managers hence why he gets more right then wrong.

Not sure why you're face palming this comment @Rhino Richards considering how it's an actual known fact.

Welcome to Demonland Kyah Farris-White
Exactly Pennant. This is my point. I'm seeing first hand the talent that's that's being lost to country footy from the NAB league because clubs aren't willing invest in natural footballers because they're far more interested in going for the raw athlete types who take years to develop. Few years ago I played only a few games for Tiwi Bombers in the NTFL comp where former demon Austin Woneaemirri is heavily involved with. Had the absolute luxury of playing with a guy by the name of Ross Tungatalum who in my opinion is one of the most talented player I've ever seen not to be on an AFL list. He was a cross between Jeff Farmer/Cyril Rioli. I spoke to one of the coaches about Ross's story and why he wasn't on a AFL list. I was told that Ross was originally picked up by St Kilda as a rookie and only last 1 year because St Kilda did not put the appropriate support around him nor did they invest time into the culture awareness that was needed for Tungatalumto to thrive in an AFL environment even though Ross himself was incredibly desperate to play AFL. At the time I played with Tungatalum who was mature age and whole lot more mature, I was told that clubs were interested in him but yet still weren't willing to put the individual support around him it would appear that certain player were getting much more needed support then other first year players. I thought what an absolute cop out excuses from some of these AFL clubs. I get why clubs are willing to invest more time into the raw athletes where footballing ability is secondary, but give me the Tom Stewart’s and Tim Kelly's of the world.
