Is Shane still running around? My god he was another genuine freak at suburban level when he got delisted from North.. -
Competitive beast with a strut of arrogance. From a physical perspective he's a pretty well built lad with thick set of thighs. He's certainly ready ready to match it with the senior bodies but I genuinely think having a year off next year and going through the same induction as what Petracca did back in 2015 will set him up well for a good AFL career.

Well no, it's not laughable at all. As I said, depends who you talk to around Shepparton. That's a well known folklore about Adem's 21 goals at schoolboy level. I've had debate with people who were/is involved with the Shepparton United Footy club and alot of the opinions pointed toward that had Damien had the same dedication and maturity as what Adem had then he would have easily had the better career. He was an unreal cricketer as well and at one stage all his attention was on that and not footy which was more of a social outing for him. Probably worth noting that he would also barely train over the summer or week nights. In his under 18's year Damien had already kicked 100 goals as a 17 year old. A rare feat at any junior level. He was a star footballer just like Adem. He just didn't want to work hard for it. -
Yeah pass for me. Rookie list at best.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

If he's there at our pick would you personally choose him PSD? -
I presume they have been resigned but just haven't been announced publicly? Isn't their a cut off date for list changes which was last week? It is a bit odd that it's been left this late?

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
dazzledavey36 replied to Supreme_Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
If our recruiting team continue on with this mindset then why bother ever drafting a key forward again? Gotta back JT's team in that eventually we'll actually recruit a future key forward who'll go and play a 10 year career for the Dees. Remember it also comes down to our development and coaching team. At the end of the day it's up to them to develop the player. The recruitment team just picks them. I'm personally not a fan of Jefferson myself but that shouldn't stop us looking at other options like a Phoenix Foster or Harry Lemmey who I rate much the Jefferson. -
We're definitely putting some time and work into George from a due diligence point of view. From what I've been told from MB officials, clubs looking at George have assured him that the focus is on having a 10- 12 year career and not trying to impact from day 1 of pre season. Focus and expectations will be in getting his knee right and soaking up the education and professionalism of AFL football. I believe clubs like Sydney and Melbourne would be the perfect fit for George in this instance. He's Wangaratta lad who's a powerful footballer with enormous amount upside. Played majority forward this year and dominated with his power and strength. He doesn't win a lot of thr footy as of yet but he doesn't need to with his hurt factor and damage up forward. The goal for him would be to transition slowly into a midfield role like Petracca has dome over his career.

Future 2nd and our pick 37 for 22?
-
He's was out of contract I believe.

Schache on a 1 year deal? Interesting. Make or break for his career. I like it.
-
Cal Twomey October rankings.

One of the reason why I'm not keen on Jefferson as well. Even at under 18's level he was still getting pushed put of the way too easily in contests. Yeah rightio. This makes sense now. I remember reading a big write up at the start of the year how he was going to be the number 1 key forward in this year's draft well before Cadman was ever discussed. Some fall from grace.
-
Yeah maybe. I just don't rate Jefferson all that highly at all. Yet all information seem to lead us to taking him of available.

Wonder if Harry Lemmey may come under some consideration for our pick 13? 199cm goal kicking key forward from West Adelaide who at the start of the year he was tipped to be a top 10 prospect. Has played at senior level, reserves and under18's where he's had impact in all three grades Showed his versatility (which our recruiters love) this year by playing down back at times and doing quiet well at times with his marking and foot skills.

Fair effort @Nascent 👏👏

Because we all love getting updates on what coffee he's drinking or what freo teammate he's training with.

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch

Which is surprising for me. There must be more to it in terms of off field because he's a top 10 prospect on talent alone. -

I think our best is to move up into that 8-10 mark. Wouldn't be surprised though if we do get a slider come pick 13 and hopefully grab a bargain. -

Reckon he'll get snapped up pretty quickly by either Geelong or Carlton before our pick unfortunately. -

Bringing back people who've never tasted or been part of success. Interesting. -

Here I am thinking they were a irrelevant club. They're now just a giant laughing stock. Bravo St Kilda 👏 -
Knightmare is a shocker..

2022 Player Reviews: #23 James Jordon
dazzledavey36 replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
In my opinion I reckon he's played some of his best football when he played as an inside midfielder like he did in 2021. His tackling and intensity around the stoppages was pretty impressive at the time. I think getting Hunter means Jordon goes back to playing this role similar to 2021.
