I know you mentioned he apparently played a good game up forward yesterday but can you delve a bit more in depth? Like did he kick goals? Take a couple of contested marks etc?

I've mentioned this previously when he announced his retirement that I'd happily take him on a 1 year deal with transition into a forwards coach. Imagine the leadership and tactical nous he could provide for the likes of JVR, Jefferson and Petty. We're lacking genuine leadership up forward and I think he'd be a perfect foil for Petty and JVR as they continue to develop their forward craft. Put it this way, I would have much rather a Jack Riewoldt playing on Thursday night then a Tom McDonald.

The issue is that there's no genuine key forwards in the market at the end of the year. Aaron Naughton comes out of contract at the end of 2024 and there was some talk that we showed interest last year.

From 4th position since 2000, no one has won the flag.

So sick of people calling others on here "heros" because they simply were trying to look at it at a different view in terms of a footy action that wasn't orchestrated well. There were far worse and disgusting things said stemming from the Brayshaw incident.. funny that.. We all know that Maynard is one of thr biggest thugs in the game and we're all feeling sick in the stomach about Brayshaw. Maynard will cop his weeks and hope that means season over for him.
