  1. From the games I watched him, i was really surprised we kept him on another year.
  2. I wouldn't hold Stack as a success story either. But weirdly enough you do? Yet he's been delisted for pretty much poor professionalism and worth ethic.
  3. What about our work with the Santa Teresa project that's been now successfully ongoing for 5 years through the work of our Aboriginal Liaison Officer Matthew Whelan who's done a power of work with not only our indigenous players but reconnecting past culture to our present day players. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/support-the-club/santa-teresa-oval-project Or what about our Reconciliation Plan where our reconciliation is to unite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with non-Indigenous people through the great game of AFL, to truly embrace history, culture and community. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/reconciliation-action-plan Or what about our football club becoming the first historical club in AFL history in rebranding our name to the Narrm Football Club throughout the year. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/indigenous#about Taking a chance on Stack? No different how's we've taken a chance on the likes of Harley Bennell a d Liam Jurrah when no one else wanted to take the risk. I think our football club celebrates our indigenous heritage far better then any club in the league and this is pretty evident. But that's just me personally.
  4. My understanding is that the club have had several interviews with Murray Bushranger product in Brayden George. They will be up the border over the next few weeks to interview a few Bushie lads as well some potential bush league smokies. Ollie Holland's another Murray product who boards at Geelong Grammer was also interviewed by the Dees during draft camp and were thoroughly impressed with his maturity and leadership which has been a trait of his since his was a young fella. I believe they'll conduct a few more interviews with Ollie over the next few weeks.
  5. How so?
  6. Just won a flag for Norwood. He's someone I'd actually easily have back in our AFL coaching ranks. Reckon he was pretty underrated.
  7. In all seriousness he's one player I'd be happily take a risk on. Kind of player that could easily become a Tyson Stengle like recruit with fresh environment and good solid father figures in Mark Williams and Matthew Whelan. One player I've always been impressed with and his 2019 year was very impressive for a first year.
  8. Yeah couldn't think or a worse player in Arts to put on a list as depth. Remember this game clearly. Would have rather kept Baker
  9. Too late..
  10. Not game to open that link
  11. I'd take him purely if he deletes his cringe Tik Tok account.
  12. All the best Oskar. Mum would have been extremely proud of your achievements.
  13. Scathing of Norf
  14. Useless and random fact here. Tom Sparrow is currently dating Rod Owen's daughter Layla Owen.
  15. He'll be 29 next year and has a degenerative knee issue. He's basically cooked.
  16. Didn't want him at the start purely because of his serious off field matters. Really hope we've done our due diligence here which I trust we have. On a playing perspective, he was easily one one the best wingers in the club only a few years. He was one player that would worry me the most because he was such a big accumulator and would punish us with his outside run. His inclusion means James Jordon goes back into his natural position of inside mid. He's far better valued there then Tom Sparrow imo with his inside and outside work.
  17. David King, Brad Johnson and Jon Ralph were highly critical of his lack of work ethic and physicality.
  18. Him and Oliver grew up playing junior representative footy in regional Victoria. They're very close mates and so are their families. I remember when I had a fair bit of involvement in Schache's last year in the Murray Bushrangers and we all thought he was going to be a future star forward of the competition in years to come. His work rate and especially endurance levels was pretty elite as a roaming CHF in the same style as Travis Cloke. The talent is certainly there and unlike some I'm bullish about him considering he's been at a club with poor culture (doggies) where there's been some culture issue which has resulted in a fair few of their current and ex players all seem to taking personal leave at certain stages. Fresh start, new voice and a coaching staff that is big in wrapping their arms around instead of the opposite.
