  1. Agree wholeheartedly. The AFLM have a job and program to do. I'm sure behind closer doors there have been lots of hugs and kisses from our senior boys towards Daisy. Let's be honest, I highly doubt this would affect Daisy at all whether the boys were there or not.
  2. Think those camps have been canned.
  3. Him and Sparrow are two of our most professional players at the footy club. Yze said in a Russell Robertson podcast 12 months in his time coaching at AFL (Hawthorn included) he hasn't seen two players who are so incredibly professional and diligent with their off field preparation.
  4. Yeah I agree. To be honest I don't have much of a gauge on Howes. I saw bits of him at Casey but that was after his serious leg injury which really put him on the back foot. I'm guessing he's training as a wingman? Still think he'd be more suited to that Jack Gunstn type role up forward.
  5. Are you talking about Jordon here??
  6. Unreal training reports lads!
  7. Would love a progress update on Jefferson and Burgoyne who I believe is in full training?
  8. Yes Jordon is vanilla. I think that's why I preferred him playing more as an inside role as he did so well back in 2021. His hands are very clean with his tackling and enormous work rate to run both ways.
  9. I find Jordon has more strings to his bow and greater upside then Sparrow. Right now Sparrow has only shown he can be a bit player inside mid. Even when he was given greater opportunity as a starting mid against Port Adelaide when Viney was out he was underwhelming that game with a few poor turnovers. In my opinion Jordon is a better all round midfielder and adds versatility with his ability to play inside and out but also as a half back if needed. I know coaches absolutely love him but he's not in my best 22.
  10. I think Spargo needs a big 2023. He's the most vulnerable out of the forwards especially as Laurie and Chandler are breathing down his neck pretty closely. Personally thought he was disappointing last year alongside a few others as well.
  11. Stewie Dew like performance 💪
  12. Worse then Scoop
  13. Going off pre season report Verrall has barely done any ball work due to his groins. I think he he'll be a fair way off senior action. I was a tad surprised we didn't have a mature age ruckman trial with us for the last rookie spot. Verrall will be behind the 8 ball and the footy club will be seeking a special permission from the AFL for Farris-White to play in the NAB league. Schache and McDonald may be the next one in line.
  14. Same bloke that is desperate to play midfield. Put him alongside Viney Oliver Petracca who are all in unbelievable nick, then yes, he's in terrible shape. Just to remind people that he's got a history of this. https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/teams/melbourne/melbourne-midfielder-angus-brayshaw-sheds-four-kilograms-for-afl-return/news-story/661ecd77c52a35d78c556079306a4191 MELBOURNE hard-nut Angus Brayshaw was asked to shed four kilograms after becoming “a little bit chubby” earlier this season. Get it when they're starting off In the system because they're still working on getting that professionalism right. But when you're 27 year old, almost 150 gamer coming off a huge 6 year deal then it's absolutely not a good look.
  15. Ah right, makes sense now.
  16. Really think we need to start looking at life after Petracca, Oliver's etc. A genuine power inside mid would be top priority for me.
  17. Why was I think David Watts for some reason? He was our last strength and power coach right??
  18. What's tattooed on his forearm?
  19. I've waited long enough.. Now give us a report!
  20. Would be handy also if we had a game plan that would actually play to him and the rest of the forwards strengths...
  21. Going by big @kev martin chat with Alan Richardson it looks like Trent will be at the Casey Demons this year if we don't select him. Good to hear he's living with Kozzie.
  22. I do take that into consideration @rjay, but we had opportunities in the back half of the year to pull the pin on guys who were completely cooked. Ben Brown was barely on 1 leg and we had a fit JVR/Sam Weideman fresh and ready to go. For me, the warning signs go right back to round 1 last year when for some whatever reason we selected a proppy Christian Salem with a heavily bandaged knee who then lasted not even 5 minutes from a simple tackle. Why did he play round 1 when he was clearly not fit? Looking back this completely ruined his year. I know it's hindsight, but that was a perfect opportunity to just ease him back into it and have him fresh and ready to play come round 4-5. Just giving him those few extra weeks would have been beneficial.
  23. Cheers Kev. Another thing, what position did they have Howes playing? Such an intriguing player to me.
