  1. I can't see them leaving JVR taking the 2nd best defender which would either be McCartin or Rampe. I think having two extra experienced key forwards next to him helps.
  2. Great news. In a way he's still quiet raw but hes a natural footballer. Some may have different opinion but I thought he actually did a pretty good job on Cameron.
  3. I just read somewhere that we are one of the clubs that will go hard for King when he's contract comes out as the end of 2024. Now I need to go find this somehow..
  4. No is asking him to go out and take 5 contested marks. Just be a target to bring the ball to ground or go and give a chop out done back. Watching McInerney sprint forward while Grundy laboured was damming footage. He struggled to do both on the weekend. I'll cut him a little slack from that but now there's no excuses now for Sydney. I'm backing him in to do well
  5. I tend to agree with Joey here. If Grundy is going to be the number 1 man then he simply needs to show his worth. These shots from the weekend show that we simply need him to either get behind the ball when we need him to be but also present as a target. Seeing McInerney run off him doesn't exactly paint him well either. 1 mark in 2 games for an two time All Australian is not good enough. Backing him this weekend against Sydney to show why we brought him into the club.
  6. Amongst all the kozzie talk in regards to contract talk this one has probably slipped under the radar regarding Trent Rivers who also comes out of contract at years end. Hoping we can get his extension soon as well. Anyone know what this article says? It's behind paywall.
  7. Zero chance of this happening.
  8. No they won't. What it does bring is unwanted attention and negativity towards the club. Journo's will blow this up bigger then it should.
  9. Was about to post this. Wonder how Jackson's family are feeling seeing this? They put ample amount of pressure for him to return only for their son to be back page for being [censored]. They don't hold back in WA..
  10. I can't see them personally changing the F/S. I think where it's set now in terms of games qualifications is perfect imo.
  11. Watched Hunty yesterday. He played on the wing and played it well. Kicked 2 goals and looks extremely happy there. Really wish him well! Had it not be for that unfortunate foot injury on the eve of finals 2021 we'd be easily calling a premiership player. I really hope he feels he can walk back into the club with no hard feelings.
  12. There was some talk by the AFL that they were going to be bringing it back to only top 20 prospects again but don't think we'll see that this year.
  13. Well Riak didn't play yesterday as he had an interrupted pre season with knee surgery so he's definitely off to a good start in being behind the 8 ball. He's still a watch this space considering he made the Vic Country hub purely based on potential and not even playing NAB league games last year.
  14. Both. He looked like he had concrete boots on and struggle to get up the ground and be that leading CHF that we know him to be. I'm a tmac fan but unfortunately he looked absolutely cooked. Some had concerns with him round 1 against the doggies where as i didnt, but after Friday night I'm certainly concerned with his form and body moving forward.
  15. About the same. Young Kynan is a hard nut though. Played majority of the game on ball and more forward in the last quarter. He's an in and under who's got a good burst of speed out of the stoppages. Honestly he's like a cleaner and quicker version of Jack Viney. Sometimes I even see Josh Daicos as well with how nimble he can be around stoppages. He's a left footer at similar height. One thing that caught me by surprise watching him was his vision and awareness especially going inside 50. There were times I thought he was going to blaze away when he would burst out of stoppages but he lowered his eyes and would hit up the leading forward. His ball use is very clean and certainly won't have any issues with delivering the footy inside 50 or around the ground in general. Really intrigued to see how he's goes this year especially when the under 18's championships start.
  16. But he's not though..
  17. Two NGA prospects heading into this year. New one that has come through goes by the name of Coren Giliam. 181cm who plays as forward and is listed for Dandenong Stringrays squad. Didn't play on the weekend. The other is Riak Andrew who is Mac Andrew's brother. 193cm 70kg tall who plays up forward and has speed. Riak is a current member of the Vic Country hub and will definitely be one to keep an eye on this year. Another who's on the Dandenong Stingrays squad.
  18. See Noah Yze thread. I've just commented.
  19. Noah made his debut today as a bottom age player for the Oakleigh Chargers against Brisbane. There was some good glimpse from Noah today who gathered 10 disposals and kicked 1.1. He's listed at 189cm tall but being a bottom age player and still growing he could end up around the 191-192cm mark by mid next year where he'll be eligible for the 2024 AFL draft.
  20. Kynan had a solid game today picking up 23 disposals and kicked 1.1 Watched the whole game today and all I will say is that Melbourne fans will be excited when he officially becomes a Dee.
  21. Mate he didn't play.. I watched the whole game yesterday. The photo is from the previous week against the doggies I the practice match. He played for Dandenong Stingrays today.
