  1. Jesus.. even at VFL the MRP are still out to get us.
  2. Would be silly not to ask the question. Problem is, he'll be demanding a fair bit and I'm not sure whether we can fit him in.
  3. Out of all the players that left last year it's Hunty the one that I feel for the most. Baker or Weids I couldn't give a stuff about. Had he not done his ankle we would be talking about a premiership player. Unfortunately he's now playing for a trash WAFL club which to me just doesn't look or feel right after all the [censored] years he went through.
  4. I 2nd this. Harmes should only be brought in purely if we want a hard tag on someone which we barely do now days. If that's the case, then he stays at Casey. I thought initially they would have brought Harmes in for Sparrow to play to do a job on Butters but wasn't the case. Selection are just as confusing as last year.
  5. Surprised people are just catching on to this? Why do you think he's always attempting don't argues and gets pinged straight away and then it kills momentum. The dude is a wannabe Dusty. His sole role in the team should be a tagger first and foremost or nothing else. Goodwin has now shown he's not willing to run a tagger in the team anymore which means Harmes has no place in the side and simply should not be playing because he doesn't add much either way.
  6. Even the noise in last year's finals was pretty flat the whole game. Stark different to 2018 finals series.
  7. Had the chance to watch the VFL replay from the weekend. Imo Ben Brown moved as well as I have seen him since 2021. He actually didn't look as stagnant as he has for the past 12 months. Whilst he only kicked the 1 goal, he roamed bit further up the ground and moved well. I'd chuck him in for either Tmac or JVR if they feel he needs a rest.
  8. Newman, Hewett, Cerra and potentially Cripps will all miss.
  9. Anyone know what the Gawn spray was directed at during the 3 qtr time break? Was completely out of character..
  10. Another great performance by Kynan yesterday against Northern Knights. Kynan had another 30 disposals and 4 tackles for the day being one of their best players on the ground.
  11. The bombing into the forward line has been evident since last year. I'm utterly confused why we haven't rectified this over the off season when it was a glaring issue for our forward connection.
  12. You legitimately said you think supporters enjoy a loss purely so they can come on here and have a crack. That's plain wrong and I'll continue to call you out on your [censored]. No supporter enjoys a loss. Watched the replay this and nothing completely changes my argument whatsoever. In fact all it does is back up every single main point I made. You could learn a few pointers off me.
  13. The issue with ANB is that his horrible moments are on display on a weekly basis. It's just so predictable that once the pressure goes up he crumbles and fumbles his way through like a bumbling mess. Defensive and tackling shouldn't be a compensation for all of his deficiencies. It's getting to the point where it's costing us big time. His form last year in the back half was woeful. He alongside Spargo should have been dropped and given opportunities to Bedford. The sooner we can add another talented small whether that's through the draft or trade period the better we can start phasing him out of the team.
  14. Watched the first quarter late last night and just finishes watching the rest this morning After watching the replay nothing has remotely changed my opinion at all. We were soundly beaten in the clearence and stoppage game until we decided to pull our finger out in the last quarter. This sums up our year as a whole. We missed so many gettable opportunities that it would have infuriated supporters at the ground. Again, where was our plan B? For instance it looked like there was a hard tag on Viney but yet we tried nothing to either mix this up or break this. When I say mix it up, where was the Pickett to midfield move to get a spark? I would have thrown Viney as a half forward and Pickett into the midfield. Another thing that backed up my argument was the need for an extra tall defender. Lever is being greatly exposed and its costing us big time. God he was awful. He's so bereft of confidence that it's like seeing a completely different player to what he was back in 2021. This experiment needs to end immediately effectively. I also thought Grundy was the better ruckman between he and Gawn. I'd like this to see Grundy spend big minutes in the ruck if it means we have to play Gawn deep. Anyway, as I said, watching the replay did not deter from my original argument at all. It made zero difference. I'll repeat once again in that we seriously need a huge monumental change in attitude from both the coaches and the players.
  15. Nor should you have to apologise. You have every right to vent and show frustration after a loss. The ones telling you otherwise can seriously get in the bin. If you're calling it as you see it then you shouldn't be made to feel like a negative nancy. Nah I'm with @Jaded No More. This is absolutely a [censored] take. You genuinely think supporters actually take a kick out of losing? C'mon mate. When you're investing money into the club it shows a great level of passion, loyalty and support for this great club. People should be allowe to express their frustration and disappointment after every loss without having guys like you accusing the same blokes of getting a kick out of a loss. I take no joy or pride in any loss. A loss is a loss, it [censored] sucks on all levels.
  16. Ben Brown having 19 possessions is odd. Did he play much higher up the ground?? Still think there is a place for him in the team but he isn't exactly hitting the scoreboard at VFL level either. Looks like no one really put their hand up at all. Shame.
  17. DS has a history of seeing the game in a completely different set of lense to everyone else. Majority of the comments in the post game thread supports your argument about ANB's performance today.
  18. This thread isn't about today's game bro. Clearly don't have set of eyes on you. This is more of a summary of information built off the back of last years form, coaching concerns, forward set up the losses we've had this year and how we're losing them and also a few others.
  19. Because our supporter base is far too kind and forgiving. Reminds me of certain individuals on here who get up on their high horse (they know who they are) if you critique a players performance or give an honest opinion on footy related matters because their emotional attachment towards the players gets the better of them. I don't boo players and most certainly wouldn't have clapped and cheered.
  20. It's an absolute myth. The same blokes that were banging on about it went MIA after the finals run. Funny that.
  21. Definitely doesn't get spoken enough. Langdon especially, decline in form at a rapid rate is concerning.
  22. I'm not talking about today. They're so far in between the best and worse. Tmac is the same. All 3 are honest battlers who don't improve us. Laurie not consistent? Which part of the below numbers at VFL is not consistent in your eyes?
