Agree with this, it’s a new and very raw midfield, pre season everyone is saying we are going to have some bad days along with the good. I thought first quarter aside we tried hard against a polished side on their home deck, just couldn’t pull off the plays that would have led to more goals. The way the game is now one fumble or missed disposal and the ball is slingshot up the other end in seconds, our skills weren’t up to scratch last night, hopefully better back on the G against a side that’s not as strong as Freo next week.

Yes we still have over 100 games experience on average in our named squad so plenty of seasoned players, hopefully they get a boost playing with the younger talent and it all comes together nicely. A lot of teams named this weekend are quite a bit younger, I read with interest King is not interested in "rebuilding".

Hopefully our run and forward handball attacking game troubles them on the wide open spaces of the MCG which is less compatible with Ross Lyons ultra flood style….we might actually see a game style from us that suits our home ground now! My biggest fear is our skills and ball use won’t yet be up to par and turnovers will kill us….should be a fun watch either way and I think we are a sneaky chance to get Kingy a W first up.
